Cameron's POV

This is it. The last time that I'll ever get to see her again. The love of my life will be gone forever. Hopefully she comes back. I pray that this move is temporary. But deep down, I know that it's permanent.

I don't want to face reality. But I know that I have to. It's scary. But I will survive. I quickly go up to her doorstep and set the note that I had written and the gift that I'd made her down. Then I knocked on the door and ran behind a bush nearby. Luckily she answered the door. She looked around but she saw no one.

She looked down and looked down at the two items. She picked them up and began to read the note.

Third POV

Dana picked up the note and began to read it.

I can't tell you these words face to face because I know that I'll probably end up crying in front of you. And that's the last thing that I want you to witness. I've always been strong for you and I don't want you to see me falling apart. But just know this, my heart will always be yours. I will wait for you. No matter how long it takes you are mine and I yours. You were my FIRST LOVE and you will be the last. It pains me to know that you are leaving but as Khalil Gibram says "If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don't, they never were." I love you.
Truly.
Madly.
Deeply.
I do love you.
I made you a scrapbook. It has all of our pictures in them. Look inside the envelope that this letter was in. You'll see a ring.
Take this ring as a promise.
I will wait for your return.
Because I love you more than you will ever know.
And I want you to remember that.
No natter the distance
Our love will always be there
I love you
Don't forget me
I won't forget you
I love you.
-Cameron

Dana had tears streaming down her face by the time that she had finished reading. She slipped the beautiful promise ring on her right pointer finger. She smiled down at it. She then picked up the scrapbook.

She opened it and another note fell out. She carefully picked it up and began to read it.

"Distance never separates two hearts that really care, for our memories span the miles and in seconds we are there. But whenever I start feeling sad, because I miss you, I remind myself how lucky I am to have someone so special to miss."

Dana smiled down at the note. She held it to her heart and a tear slipped down her face. She took the gifts and walked inside.

Cameron stepped from behind the bush and looked at the house one more time. He looked at Dana's window. He saw her looking through the scrapbook. A tear slid down his face. With one last glance he said, "I love you Dana." Before he walked to his car and drove off.
