Camira's POV
The rest of the competition was a drag. Ben sang Every Little Thing for McKenzie. McKenzie sang Uncover. I don't know who she sang that one for. And Santana sang Shower for Chris. Now we're in the voting portion of the competition.
"Okay, you all know how this works. So let the voting begin," Ms. Smith said.
Basically, the students vote for us. Whoever they thought won pretty much wins. We all have a school app so it was easy to vote.
As we looked at the screen the boys were winning. But then the votes for the girls started to accumulate.
"And the winner of the boys and girls competition is......... The girls! Congratulations girls!" Ms. Smith said excitedly.
"Okay now it's time for the voting of the solos," Ms. Smith said seriously.
"You may vote for your top three choices now," she said, moving away from the podium.
Can we just get this over with?
"The votes are now locked in," Ms. Smith said in a dramatic tone, walking back up to her podium.
"First and second place were separated by one vote," she started. "Those two competitors are...... Mckenzie and.......... Camira! The winner being Ms. Camira Sullivan!" She said excitedly.
I actually won? "Go get your trophy," Jack said pushing me out on he stage.
"Congratulations," Alex said giving me my trophy with a smile.
"And in third place we have Dylan!" Ms. Smith said.
"Congratulations you three. Students, you may now report to your third blocks of the day." Ms. Smith finished.

"Hey congrats first place," Dylan said, hugging me then spinning me around. "Thanks. Congrats to you too," I congratulated him back.
"Well congrats to the both of you," Mckenzie said. "Camira you shouldn't have won. You know that your pitch wasn't even right." She spat.
"You know what Mckenzie, I'm glad that I won because I finally won something that you haven't." I said, anger in my voice. I'm actually glad that I won. But it would be much better if I won Ben.
"Whatever. I won Ben so that's all that matters," she said flipping her hair, walking away into Ben's arms.
"What does he see in her?" Jack asked walking up to Dylan and I.
"Honestly, I don't know," I said sighing.
