Camira's POV
Everyone got called into the gymnasium during second period today. I wonder why they were calling us there. Everyone sat in they're grade spots. The freshmen had they're place. The sophomores had their spots. And so on.
I obviously sat with the sophomores. I sat next to Eli and some kid from my gym class, Logan. We sat by the emergency door exit.
"Hello students!" Ms. Girasol, the principal beamed. All of the students in the gym started clapping and chanting the school letters.
Ms. Girasol raised her hand telling us to quiet down. "Welcome to our student's achievements assembly!" She continued.
"This is an assembly to recognize those students who have stood out this school year! As most of you know the school year only thirty more days left. Freshmen you'll be sophomores ready to welcome the new freshman class. Sophomores you'll be the juniors to help the sophomores guide the new freshman class through the school year. Juniors you'll be the Seniors. The leading group of high school. The ones that set the tone. Next year it'll be your last year, make the most of it. And seniors I hope that you enjoyed your last year. We certainly loved your presence." She said.
"Now, let's get to the awards." She said clapping her hands.
"We will recognize the few students who have had a four point grade average all year." She said. She then started calling our the names. I sorta zoned out since I really didn't care.
"And lastly but certainly not least Camira Sullivan!" She stated happily. I stood up then one of the faculty members gave me my reward. I took the award sending them a brief thank you.
I sat back down and Logan and Eli both congratulated me. I smiled at them both and continued to watch the rest if the ceremony.
A majority of the ceremony was pretty boring. "Now everyone please send a warm welcome to Destiny Alexis!" Ms. Girasol exclaimed.
We all clapped as Destiny walked up to the podium. But I went the extra mile by cheering and clapping for her. I got a couple of looks from other sophomore s. But I just kept going until she raised her hand, signaling to be quiet.
Everyone silenced. It was so quiet that you could hear a pen drop. "As a part of the student council it is my job to ensure that everyone is having a nice experience at this school." She began.
"It has come to my attention that some of us in this very gymnasium have been keeping secrets. That EVERYONE should hear about." She continued.
"Let's start off with Natalie James," she said. Oh boy, here we go. This us gonna end in someone with tears.
"Natalie is a cheerleader. We all know that. She's pretty. And flexible. But she has a mean attitude. And let's not forget she's your typical boyfriend stealer." Destiny said.
"Oh god," I sighed putting my head in my hands. I began shaking my head hoping that she wouldn't go where I think she is going.
"We all know that Jayce Antonio and Camira Sullivan were the picture perfect couple. Everyone wanted to be them. But Natalie James just had to mess that up." She said.
Is anyone gonna stop this? I looked over at the principal and she looked liked she was enjoying this. I guess that no one is going to stop this.
"Enough about Natalie. Let's move on to her sister Nicole." She said.
"Nicole has been keeping a secret from a lot if you. But I only have time for one of them." She continued.
"Nicole and a few of her friends gave Dustin, you all know him a dare. What was the dare? It was to get him to ask Camira Sullivan out. When he doesn't even like her," she said.
