He was a bit nervous about this. Normally a prince won't just go out to the village and meet people. Well, when you have an oaf of a brother who's interested in stupid things, you're no exception for him to not include you in those things.

This time, Thor wanted to go and meet the people and drink to his full in the newly opened bar of Fandral's brother. Oh, and with the warriors three too. When he asked his brother to join with them, Loki was quite surprised. Of course, he was. Thor never allowed Loki to join them in anything since childhood. So Loki agreed with hesitation and curiosity.

Well, Loki doesn't drink.

So they changed the plan to leaving Loki at a nearby library, and to drink till they're all drunken to their satisfication.

But Loki agreed with this only to spend some time with his brother.

Even though Asgard wasn't against the lgbtq community, some people still misused them (you get it)

That's the reason our prince is scared of being alone in a local library, since no one likes to read, when there's a newly opened bar nearby and the favorite prince is there too.

"my prince?"

He jumped off his place when he heard the strong yet familiar voice. "volstagg?" Loki asked unsure of why one of the warriors three is here. "Thor sent me here to make sure you're safe, since he's a bit uncomfortable of leaving you alone in here" he explained after he bowed slightly to the prince. "well thank you. Now that you've made sure I'm safe, you can go back" Loki tried to sound calm despite of his heart hammering in his chest due to volstagg scaring the helheim out of him earlier.

"he also asked me to stay here with you till we go back" volstagg replied. "you sure? You might get bored since there's no one in here and I'll be checking out these books" Loki said gesturing towards the bookshelves. "i won't be if I'm allowed to help you with that" volstagg said with a smile.

"norns this really is boring" volstagg though when Loki added another book to read. "my prince?" Loki turned to face volstagg. "just call me by my name like how you call Thor" Loki stated. "alright. Loki, are you just gonna read?" volstagg knew he sounded stupid but he wanted to ask him that. "of course, that's what people do in a library. What did you expect me to do?" Loki chuckled softly at the end. "i thought we could...talk for a while. Y'know since you've never really talked with any of us" volstagg suggested nervously. "if that's the thing, what do you want me to talk about?" Loki asked without raising his head from his book.

"like... What's your favorite food?" of course volstagg would ask that. "i don't really have any favorite really. I just eat it if i like something" Loki replied emotionless. Volstagg made a simple "oh" and went silent. "hey volstagg, do you like anyone?" Loki asked while he finally closed his book, still marking a page by placing his fingers between the pages. Volstagg literally chocked on the water he was drinking. "yes i do, like...your brother, Fandral, Hogun, lady sif..." volstagg tried to sound casual and failed.

"no, are you in love with someone?" Loki rephrased that question. "m-may i know why you're asking that?" volstagg looked like he was about to pass out. "jeez, calm down. I was reading a story about love and remembered that you wanted to talk. It's fine if you don't wanna" Loki laughed softly after that sentence. "no that's... I don't love anyone" volstagg replied. "you were scared as hell to say that?" Loki chuckled. Volstagg simply laughed nervously. "how about you? You love anyone?" it was volstagg's turn to question this time. "not really" Loki was about to open the book again when volstagg asked him another question. "this is the first time we're talking all alone right?" Loki nodded. "you really are a entertaining person" volstagg complimented him.

"thanks" Loki's voice and the way he looked up at volstagg from underneath his lashes made volstagg feel something. He felt like his face was burning up. "you are a good person to talk with too" Loki said. Now that almost made our redhead blush uncontrollably. He was looking at the younger prince like he was a beautiful piece of art. How can Asgard talk rubbish about an angel that he is? He started to observe him inch by inch. His long fingers. That silky raven hair which is perfectly slicked back. His gorgeous pale skin. And his eyes. God those emerald, shiny eyes. He's so beautiful. Wait is he looking at him?

"oh- sorry I'm.... Sorry i was thinking about s-something else" volstagg was completely red now. "no it's fine" Loki replied almost as red as the warrior. "Was he looking at me like that? " he tried to cover his face with the book he had. He didn't want the redhead to see him smiling like an idiot.

Volstagg quickly swallowed the water in his glass. He couldn't help but think about how the prince would look in a traditional wedding coat, beside him...

"norns, what is this?"
