Chapter 133: Just a Dream!

" I am scared that it is just a dream. A dream I have yearned for. I am scared that it will all be gone when I wake up."

Zayn said in a low voice. He hid in her arms. Nicole was laying up on the bed so his head only reached her chest. She hugged him back and ran her hands through his hair. 

" Later, when I woke up, I got to know that my brother was in a coma. When he didn't wake up for some time, I went abroad. The people who killed my parents and put on the fire there were still after us. They wanted to be sure that we are dead. They were the Xie family. You would surely know them since you live in Alencica." Zayn's voice was quiet muffled as he was in her arms. 

Nicole was shocked to hear that it was the Xie family. But now that she thought about it, the one who benefited the most from the disappearance of the royal family was the Xie family.

" So the news about their disappearance was your work?"

" Yes. I did it with my brother but I haven't killed them yet. They can't die so easily. And one more thing, Brother Lee is the son of the head of the Xie family who was behind this all. He was the son of the first wife who was murdered by the mistress soon after he was born. Brother Lee is a very intelligent person. He is not far off from my brother but when he was in the Xie family, he played dumb. If he showed them his intelligence, they would use him and trouble him. He also didn't want to stay with them and started investing in the stocks of foreign markets. He also wanted to take revenge on them but he knew he wasn't strong enough yet. He was our childhood friend. Sis saw him once when we were invited for dinner at the Xie family. She was attracted to him and invited him to our house. Brother Lee's father let him go as he thought he may come to good use later.  Sis and they were close to each other since then. They both seemed to like each other. When Brother Lee heard about the news of our parents, he wanted to go to the funeral. When he was thinking about getting permission from his father, he overheard his conversation and came to know about how he conspired to kill my parents and how he planned to kill us too. As soon as he knew that, he rushed to save us. When he reached there, we were already on our way to the hospital but he didn't know. He had taken a fire extinguisher with him and the firefighters were also there. He secretly entered through the back door while extinguishing the fire. He found my sister just in front of the exit. She was unconscious and barely breathing. He had to immediately take her to the hospital. Later, he tried to search for us but he wasn't strong enough yet. His family was also searching for us so he couldn't be careless. Later, he took sis out of the country for safety's sake. They came back for the children but who would know we'd meet. Everything was too sudden but I can't be more glad for that."

" So that's what happened... " Nicole thought about how much he went through. At that moment, she understood something very important about her life. 

Since her father died, she took her life as a tragedy. She became an antisocial person, treated everyone coldly and lived a hectic life without thinking of making friends, without accepting the fact that she can also live a happy life. However, when she met Zayn, she changed. She didn't think about the past. Still, somewhere deep inside, she still thought that her life was a tragedy until before she met Zayn. She couldn't realize that she was the one who made her life tragic. Yeah, her mother was in a depression at that time and things were quite up and down but it didn't mean a tragedy. She could have still searched for happiness. She could still live like before. She could have slacked off in studying and skipped classes with friends. She could have joined the military a bit late but she didn't. 

Though her own made tragedy played a big part in her success and achievements, it wasn't worth the pain. Even without the tragedy, she could have been successful. Maybe a little less than now or more than now. If you ask any person in the world to sacrifice their happiness, love or something precious for their success or their dream, they would never agree. That is as long as they are still human.

If Zayn was given the option to be from a middle-class family with his parents and sibling, to live a normal life without the tragedies, he would be more than just glad.

If you ask a person who loves his siblings to sacrifice them for his dreams that may never come true, he would rather sacrifice his dreams. That's how life is.

While thinking about this all, Nicole fell asleep. Zayn couldn't fall asleep. When he saw that Nicole fell asleep, he slowly climbed out of the bed and took a shower. After dressing up, he went out and drove aimlessly in his car all night.

It was the same for Alex and Robin. Alex couldn't fall asleep. He went to the rooftop. There was a beautiful garden on the rooftop. The table and chairs were also set up beautifully for the guests. Alex brought wine with him and drink all night alone. He stared at the sky full of stars and thought about his past and future. He couldn't sleep because he was scared the present was just a dream.

As for Robin, she stayed up with Lee. Lee noticed that she couldn't fall asleep. He wanted to keep her company and kept awake with her. They both sat on the balcony side by side as they watched the beautiful scenery and talked about things. Then Lee went inside and covered themselves with a shawl as it was cold. He also brought some late-night snacks and wine for her. 

Robin rested her head on his shoulder and silently gazed at the scenery in front of her. Today, she was especially missing her mother. She even recalled the memory when she last met her mother. As they were leaving on a business trip, Robin was unwilling to let go. Her mother somehow convinced her and said that she promises to return soon. Zayn even spoke for the first time and called 'Mother' but she never came back. Robin closed her eyes.

' Mummy, you didn't keep your promise but I know you are watching us. You and daddy must have been protecting us, right! I miss you, Mummy. I love you, Mummy. I am really sorry I didn't come to visit you yet... " 

A silent teardrop fell from the corner of her eyes as hid herself in Lee's arms. She cried silently and told him that she misses her mother. Lee consoled her and stayed by her sight all night.
