Chapter 20. A Wedding and Drama, As Usual.

I was woken up around 8 am, by my phone ringing. I sat straight up in bed, for some reason I thought I was going to be late for the wedding. ” Hello? ” I asked still half asleep, I didn’t even know who it was. ” Elle, were you still asleep? Don’t you have a wedding to go too? ” Alice asked, I rolled my eyes. ” Yes, but not right now ” I yawned, ” Oh okay, Well what are you wearing? Come on, give me the scoop, I’m bored! ” she exclaimed. I chuckled, ” I’m not sure what I’m wearing, I’ve got 2 dresses picked out. But I don’t think one is appropriate…. Can you wear black to a wedding? ” I sighed. ” Ellie, you’re not related to anyone there and plus you’re pregnant, you can wear whatever you want ” she stated, I sighed. ” Send me a picture of both ” she added, I rolled my eyes. ” Alright ” I stated, ” Okay, hang up and send them, I’ll call you right back ” she ordered. ” Okay bossy pants ” I chuckled hanging up and quickly sending her pictures, it only took a few minutes for her to call me back. ” Go for the black, I think it’s classy and prettier ” she stated, I smiled ” Okay Thank you Al, now I’m gonna go get ready “. ” Are you actually wearing makeup, Elle I’m shocked ” she exclaimed, I chuckled ” Yes, I actually am. So, I’ll talk to you tomorrow “. ” Okay, have fun ” she stated, ” Alright ” I sighed hanging up on her again. I stood up and quickly started to get ready, I took a shower, did my hair ( Wavy ). Then I put on some makeup ( A light shade of eye shadow, a bit of eyeliner, mascara, some concealer and a light tone of red lipstick ), it was probably the best I’d ever looked. By the time it was 10 :30 am, there was a sudden knock on my door, it was Scottie. ” Good Morning Elle, how about we order some breakfast…. Do you actually have make up on? ” he asked with a smirk, I rolled my eyes in response. ” Breakfast sounds good, actually ” I stated, he chuckled and placed an order into room service.

When our food arrived we sat at the end of my bed, hovering over the small table. ” I hope I’m not sick after all this ” I sighed, he smiled ” Well, if you are, it will be a good excuse to leave early ” I Chuckled, ” Trust me, after a few hours with my family members, it will be enough to drive you mad ” he sighed ( I understood that perfectly ). I nodded and sighed, ” So, have you picked out what dress you’re going to wear yet? ” he questioned. I nodded, ” Yeah, with the help of Alice ” I stated. He chuckled and shook his head, I glanced at the clock, it was almost 12 pm. I finished up my breakfast and smiled at Scottie, ” What time do we need to leave? ” I asked. ” In an hour ” he stated with a smirk, I nodded. ” Well then, you’d better go. I’ve got to finish getting ready! ” I exclaimed. He chuckled and nodded, as he quickly left. I stood up and got dressed, then I looked at myself in the mirror, for once I felt pretty. I applied another layer of lipstick, since what I applied before was smudged off when I ate breakfast. I took one more glance at myself in the mirror, then grabbed my cardigan. A few moments later there was another knock on the door, ” Ready? ” Scottie asked. I nodded and smiled. ( I’m just going to Fast forward to the reception, because we all know how weddings are. Beautiful surroundings, relatives crying, kissing, you know ).

As Scottie and I walked into the building, I nervously glanced around at all of Scottie’s relatives, they were all staring at the both of us. Scottie didn’t seem affected by it, he was probably used to it. My phone had been vibrating all day, I knew who it was, all my friends knew not to call or text me, because I wouldn’t answer. So that only left one person… We all know who that was. I hadn’t thought about Dan once, not since leaving London. every time my phone went off, it was just a little reminder of the drama I still had to face. I excused myself from the table I was sitting at, I had to check my phone, it was not okay anymore. I pulled out my phone, 15 missed calls, all from Dan. ( Ugh ) I sighed to myself, ( Don’t give in, Don’t give in ) the little voice in my head shouted. But I cracked, and called him back. ” Hello? ” he questioned, ” What do you want? ” I exclaimed quietly, ” Why are you so mad at me Ellie? Is it because we slept together after Joe and Caspar’s party, I don’t regret it ” he sighed. I was a loss for words, ” Oh my god, are you serious! No Dan, I’m not mad at you for fucking me while I was drunk! I’m mad at you, because you’ve ignored me ever since that night. You wouldn’t talk to me for over a week, that’s why I’m mad ” I exclaimed. He sighed, ” I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you, I felt like I crossed the line, I just needed to think things out ” he stated. ” You should’ve just told me that, do you know what it feels like to think of yourself as a hoe. I fucked a guy who has a girlfriend. Dan you might not regret it, but I do ” I sighed, I could hear him scoff over the phone. ” Ellie, you’re not a hoe and I know you don’t regret what we did ” he stated, I rolled my eyes. ” You’re lying ” I sighed, ” Elle, you know I’d never lie to you ” he sighed. ” Fine, whatever. I’m still at the wedding, we are not finished talking about this, but I’ve gotta go ” I stated, ” Alright, call me when you get back to the hotel, or wherever you’re staying ” he sighed. ” Okay bye ” I sighed hanging up, ( Ugh, how do I always let this guy, do this to me ) I thought as I walked back to the table. Scottie was talking to one of his relatives, she noticed me sit down next to Scottie and turned to me. ” You must be Ellie, it’s so nice to meet you! ” she smiled, I smiled at her and nodded. ” This is my Aunt Maddie, she’s the mother of the bride ” Scottie smirked, I nodded. ” Nice to meet you ” I smiled, ” She’s a bit shy ” Scottie told his Aunt. I nodded again, his Aunt Maddie chuckled a bit. ” That’s perfectly fine, quiet can be a good thing ” she stated, I smiled again. The three of us talked for a little while longer, until she had to get up and talk to someone else.
