Chapter 24. Confronted

* Weeks had passed, but I had stopped keeping track of how many weeks. Still hadn’t talked to Dan, even tho he hasn’t given up trying to talk to me. He calls and texts me at all hours of the day, he’s even sending notes to me now and he’s made Phil deliver them ( You known when Phil comes over to hang out ). But I don’t answer or even look at any them. I was slowly recovering from what I like to call ’ Heartbreak ‘, even tho I chose it. Now as far as the pregnancy thing, I’ve accepted it a lot more ( With the help of friends ). That means I’ve spent most of my night, staying up past midnight watching cute baby video’s on the internet. *

I was sitting on the sofa with a book in hand ( Some things never change ), Bernie was close by, watching my every move. Scottie was on his way over, yet again with food ( For some strange reason, I’d lost my apatite all together, but like Scottie and Alec always say ” You’re eating for two now “, So I had to eat  ). As I sat their thinking about things, Scottie showed up. ” Oh Ellie, I’m here! ” Scottie exclaimed from the corridor, I chuckled ( Scottie just helped me feel happy ). ” So, How are you feeling today Ms. Ellie? ” he asked happily, ” I’m fine, but why are you so happy? ” I asked him with a grin. He shrugged, ” When am I not happy? ” he smirked. I rolled my eyes and shook my head, ” Well, I was wondering if you’d wanna grab dinner tonight? ” he asked. ” Are you just trying to make me fat? ” I asked with a chuckle, he rolled his eyes. ” Elle, face it you’re going to gain weight and you’re going to get fat, just accept it ” he smiled, I chuckled. ” So, are you in? ” he asked, I nodded and smiled. ” Great, so I’ll come by and pick you up around 8 pm ” he smiled, I stared at him confused for few seconds. ” Wait. What do you mean, Pick me up? ” I questioned still confused, he chuckled ” There’s a restaurant I wanna take you too, but it’s an hour away, so I’ll be driving us “. I nodded, ” Wait! When did you learn how to drive? ” I exclaimed rather loudly. He smiled, ” Elle, I’ve known how to drive for a few years. You’ve just never seen me do it ” he stated. ” Do you have a car? ” I asked, he nodded. ” When did all this Happen? We’re always together! ” I sighed, he smiled and just kind of shrugged. ” I’ve got to get back to work, I’ll see you later ” he smirked, I nodded. ” Thank You smiley, for the food ” I stated, he chuckled. “Is that my new nickname? ” he questioned, I quickly nodded as I opened the container of food ( There was a sandwich, with some chips ). He smiled again, before leaving. I glanced at Bernie, who was staring at me strangely. ” Don’t look at me that way, Bern’s. It’s not a date, Scottie knows that I don’t want to be in a relationship. Because the only person I’ve ever wanted, is an asshole and the fact that I’m still thinking about that asshole or still wanting to be with that asshole, it’s horrible, Just Horrible! ” I exclaimed in a rant, Bernie just continued to stare at me. ” And now I’m talking to my cat…. Wow, my life is sad ” I sighed, I flipped on the TV and dug into my lunch. 

My phone had started ringing and it wouldn’t stop, I almost threw it across the room. I stood up and walked into the kitchen, after finishing my lunch. There was a quiet knock on the door, I walked over to it slowly and opened it. ( What the Hell? ) I thought as I stared at Beth, ” Beth? What are you doing here? I thought you moved? ” I asked, she stared at me, unsure of what to say at first. ” I was supposed to leave yesterday, but then I heard something that bothered me a bit and I had to find out if it was true ” she sighed, but looked she looked like she could hit me at any moment. ( I knew what this was about ) I looked down at my bare feet, ” Did you and Dan sleep together, while I was still dating him? ” she asked with a glare, even tho she already knew the answer to that question. I nodded with my head down, ” And are you really…? ” she asked quietly. I nodded again ( I felt worse now than I think I ever have ), she went silent. I slowly peaked up at her and I knew she was fuming.

" I knew it, I bloody fucking knew it! Was that the only time it happened, or were you a bigger slut than I thought? " she questioned, I let out a deep sigh. " It only happened once " I sighed quietly, " When? " she asked. " The night Joe and Caspar had their party " I whispered, she balled her fists with anger and rage. " Who made the first advance? " she questioned, I looked at her confused ( Honestly, I was a bit scared ). ” What? ” I asked, she rolled her eyes and took a step toward me, causing me to take a step back. ” Who made the first move? ” she shouted, I looked down again ( I just thought it was appropriate to hang my head at the moment ). ” I don’t know, I can’t remember what happened. I was drunk ” I sighed, she scoffed as she shook her head. ” You know, I never liked you and I only put up with you for Dan’s sake. If I could beat the shit out of you right now, I would. But since you’re telling everyone you’re pregnant, I won’t….. You know, I bet you’re not even pregnant, you’re probably just lying , just like you lied about everything else. So congratulations on ruining his life, I’m sure the two of you will be so happy together! ” she spat in a sarcastic tone, I let out a frustrated sigh. ” I’m not ruining his life, he doesn’t have to have anything to do with me, I’m not forcing him into anything ” I sighed still with my head hanging, she scoffed again. ” Yeah, well. Keep thinking what you want, you are ruining his life. I guess that’s just the kind of person you are ” she stated as she stormed out of my flat. I stood there speechless, I couldn’t move. She was right, about everything. I am a liar, I ruin peoples lives. I don’t deserve the wonderful people in my life, I don’t deserve to have any friends, I didn’t deserve to have anyone care about me at all. Everyone would be better off without me, I’m a giant mistake ( Just like how my mom always used to say ). I walked over to my flat door and quickly locked it, then I grabbed my phone and called Scottie. ” Hello? Elle, are you okay? ” he asked, ” Yeah, but I’m not feeling the best, do you think we could do that dinner another night? ” I asked without one bit of emotion in my voice. He chuckled ” Yes Elle, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it “, ” Alright ” I stated. ” Want me to come over tonight? To check on you, or hangout? ” he questioned, ” No, I’m just gonna sleep it off, I’ll talk to you later ” I stated again without any emotion. ” Okay…. Talk to you later Elle ” he sighed hanging up, I wanted to just hide away, for the rest of my life and I might just do that.
