Chapter 29. Little Angels

The weekend quickly passed as a normal, Dan still called 5 times a day, everyday and I haven’t answered any of them. I still spend all my time with Scottie, so yeah not much has changed. Friday night, Scottie and I were just chilling in my flat, talking about babysitting Lyle and Liam. ” So, What time are we supposed to be over there tomorrow ” Scottie asked, I sighed ” 10:30 am “. ” Are you nervous? ” he questioned stuffing a handful of popcorn in his mouth, I shook my head. ” Lyle and Liam are the best babies ” I stated searching the the movies on Netflix, he let out a deep sigh, I looked at him. ” No, I’m not talking about babysitting. Are you nervous to be a mom? ” he asked, I thought for a second as he stared at me. ” No, because know matter what, I will love this baby. I will do whatever I have too, to take good care of it. I’ll be a way better parent to my kid, because my parents were shit at it ” I smiled, he nodded shoving another handful of popcorn into his mouth. I chuckled slightly, ” So I was thinking, since I canceled dinner with you, a while ago. Maybe we can go Sunday, to that restaurant ” I asked getting nervous suddenly. He smiled that award winning smile, ” Did you just attempt to ask me out? ” he asked. I shrugged ” Maybe I did, I owe you one “, he looked at me shocked. ” Alright, you’re on ” he smirked, I nodded. ” Okay, now share the popcorn, Smiles! ” I exclaimed reaching for the bowl, ” What are we gonna watch? ” he asked handing me the bowl. I shrugged, ” Something scary ” I grinned. He rolled his eyes, as I stared the movie.

Scottie and I were in his car, on the way to Alec and Alice’s house, I had my eyes closed and I could not stop yawning. ” Elle? How in the world are you still tired? You fell asleep during the movie and then slept for at least 10 hours ” Scottie chuckled, I smiled at him. ” I’m just in Love with sleep ” I stated, only to receive another chuckle from him. We arrived at their house moments later, I got out of his car, grabbing my overnight bag as well. ” Hi! ” Alec exclaimed with a smile, he was putting their suitcases into their truck. ” Someone’s in a hurry to leave ” I smirked giving him a quick hug, Alec shrugged. I walked away from the two guys, who had started talking about sports or something. I walked into their house and dropped my bag on the sofa, ” Elle? ” Alice asked from one of the bedrooms. I walked into the corridor, ” Hey ” I smiled walking into the nursery, Alice was changing Liam and Lyle was in his little bouncy seat. ” How are you feeling today? ” she asked me, I smiled ” Im fine, Just a little tired and excited to spend some time with my two favorite boys “. She chuckled ” So, I’ll leave out a pair of pajama’s for the two of them, Lyle gets the dinosaur’s and Liam gets the one with the small bears on it. Nappies, wipes and baby powder are right here. They have started eating solids so I’ll show you where the baby food is, wanna grab Lyle for me “, I happily nodded and Picked him up. Lyle was a smiley baby, he reminded me a lot of Scottie and Liam reminded me of Dan, he was more laid back and kinda quiet. We walked into the kitchen and over to the cupboard, ” Liam is allergic to Carrots, so he’s been eating squash and Lyle loves pee’s and sweet potato’s. They still drink formula, but mostly at night before bed. If they wake up in the middle of the night, you can give them another bottle ” she stated with a smile. Alec and Scottie ( Who were like BFFL’s , now ) walked into the house and smiled, ” What time do they normally fall asleep? ” I asked Alice. She and Alec chuckled, ” Lyle tends to fall asleep around 8 pm, but Liam is like a night owl and tends to fall asleep around 10: 30 pm ” Alec smiled. I nodded smiling at Lyle, who was playing with the hem of the t-shirt. ” They don’t wake up in the middle of the night as much as much, but… This is gonna become your best friend ” Alice stated handing me a baby monitor. I nodded, ” I’ve written everything down on this paper, but you’ll both be fine ” Alice smiled handing Liam to Scottie. I put Lyle in his playpen and hugged them both, ” Thanks again for this, we really needed some quality time together. I mean we love our boy’s, but we miss each other ” Alec stated holding Alice’s hand. I smiled ” Well, have fun! And don’t forget to make Love…. ( Ew, did I just say that out loud ), Alec rolled his eyes and Alice chuckled. ” Okay, have fun playing house you too ” Alec stated sarcastically, I crinkled my nose. ” Alright Go, we’ve got everything under control. See you tomorrow morning ” I exclaimed pushing them toward the door, ” Well hang on, Pushy. Let me say goodbye to my children ” Alec chuckled. I nodded, Alec and Alice kissed the top of their heads and gave them lots of hugs. ” Don’t worry, I’ll take care of my nephews, I am their favorite person ” I joked. Alec rolled his eyes, ” You’re right, they can’t say it, but they love you so much ” he smiled giving me another hug. Scottie and I waved to them as they left, ( Well Practice makes perfect, right? ).
