二日酔い (ふつかよい)

"I'm so drunk!" Tina slurly announced, once she got in the bedroom she shared with Robert.

Robert immediately got up from his slumber, picked Tina up, and tucked her in bed. Kissing her, before Tina drifted off to sleep in Robert's arms.

As the sunlight hit Tina's eyes, she slowly became aware of what was going on. She felt the warm chest of her husband that she used as a pillow and his arm protectively around her waist. Tina tried to move and heard Robert mumbled, no. Finally, she opened her eyes and looked up to find Robert starring down at her. "We need to go to work..." Tina said sternly, ignoring the headache cause by having four servings of hot sake.

Robert shook his head, "After years of marriage, you still think you can hide your headache from me?"

Tina huffed; he knew her too well. Tina sighed in defeat, "How drunk was I last night?"

"Well," Robert recounts the memory, "you came in here at 3 am and loudly announced, 'I'm drunk.'"Tina frowns as Robert smiles in amusement, "I'd say you were wasted."

Tina playfully smacks Robert, "It's not funny."

Robert smiled and kissed Tina, "Mmm, let me guess, sake with a hint of mint?"

Tina smiles, "I guess I can stay home today..."

"Good." Robert nodded.

"I'll just call Molly..." Tina sat up.

"No need," Robert shook his head, "I already texted Hana to cover for us..."

Tina looks, "Why Hana?"

Robert sits up, "Because we both know our daughter, Hana, is the most capable person in Wizard, and I am not leaving you when you have a hangover..."

Tina slowly nods, "Okay." As she lays back down.

Robert sighs and grabs his phone to text Amy:

Make tea and grab some aspirin for your mom's hangover

In Nepal, Kamar-Taj, Amy rolls over in her bed to grab her phone from the nightstand; and throws it towards the wall.

Robert waited for Amy's reply, which never came, so he tried Hana:

Hana sighed as she heard the soft vibration of her phone on the table; as she presented the PowerPoint Tina was going to present in front of investors. The fifth time it alerted her, Hana finally picked the phone up and headed out of the meeting room. "I'm at a meeting!" she screamed over the phone in frustration and ended the call.

Robert frowned as he texted Nico:

Make tea and grab some aspirin for your mom's hangover

Seconds later, Nico calls, "Dad, hey, sorry. I'm at the Hostel."

Robert sighs, "I can't leave the bed, right now." Tina was being extra clingy and didn't let him go.

Nico shudders, "Gross... just tell Stitch to make tea and get medicine..."

"Okay, first of all, your mom's using my arm as a pillow and is currently asleep." Robert stated. "And second, we have Wizey, not Stitch."

"You really need to upgrade," Nico sighs, "anyways, I really need to go." Nico ends the call.

A few hours later, Tina sat in the living room as Robert cooks lunch.

Hana's car pulled up in the driveway; "Grab the bag." Hana ordered Nico, as they came out of the car.

Nico frowns, "Please..." Nico sighs and grabs the bag as she takes the bag out of the backseat.

"Yeah, yeah." Hana ignores her sister, "You said dad sounded on the verge of panicking?"

"Yeah," Nico nodded, "I mean wouldn't you be?"

"You have a point," Hana agrees, "but dad doesn't panic..."

"He does," Nico opens the front door and added quietly, "when mom has a hangover."

Hana sighs noticing both their parents looking at them and starts singing:

I've been drinking too much for sure

I got an empty cup, pour me some more

"Not working," Hana looks at Tina, "is it?"

Tina shook her head, "No."

Hana pats Nico's back, "You're on your own, sis."

Tina turns to Robert, "You told them I had a hangover?!"

Robert gulped, "I told all, three, of our girls; where's Amy?"

"Nepal." Nico replied, as she placed the bag on the counter. "Don't tell me you texted her, too."

Hana smirks, "In that case, Amy will need a new phone..."

"Anyways, we brought some Grandmother Akari's hangover home remedies..." Nico takes out a tall plastic cup that contains a pale green smoothie like liquid, "Here."

Tina eyed the cup suspiciously, "What is this?"

Nico smiles, "Just drink it!"

Tina took a sip and scrunched up her nose, "The Fuck!" Her face turned bright red, as she grabbed the milk from the fridge and chugged it straight out of the bottle. She slid down to the floor with a sigh.

"You okay?" Robert asked.

"Seriously, Nico?" Tina stood up and glared at Nico, "Wasabi smoothie?"

Nico points at Hana, "Her idea."

Tina glares at Hana, who simply smiles, "It worked, though..."

Tina nods, "My taste buds are burnt; how do you even know about..."

"Unlike you, I actually listen to おばあさん," Hana smirked.
