Tina enters the lobby of Maui Hotel and Spa, Robert by her side as a man with tanned skin approach them. "Kris? Kristina Minoru?"

Tina jumps, "Gabe? My God, you look... well..."

The man smirks, "Yeah, after high school, my skin cleared up, and I got my braces removed, but enough about me; I heard you're a big-time CEO in the mainland."

"Um..." Tina smiles, "This is my husband, Robert. Robert, Gabe, my friend from high school."

Robert shook Gabe's hand, "Nice to meet you."

"Same to you," Gabe looks at Tina and offers them drinks, "have you guys heard of FOA?"

Tina shakes her head, "No."

"Their a famous singing duo in Asia, but no one has seen them for years." Gabe explained, "The student body president booked ."

Tina nods, "Cool."

The person at the front desk taps Gabe's shoulder, "Mr. Guzman?" and hands him a binder.

Gabe reads the note, "Kai, make sure our guests get the keys to their suite."

"Right away, sir."

Tina raised an eyebrow, "You're the manager?"

Gabe corrects, "The owner of the franchise. Now, if you'll excuse me?" Gabe made his way as hoards of photographers burst into the lobby.

Tina and Robert were shocked to see four familiar faces enter. Gabe escorts the four to the front desk. The woman in a green sundress and white hat removed her sunglasses, "Mom? Dad?"

Robert's jaw drops, "Hana, what are you doing here?"

"You guys know each other?" Gabe asked.

Tina nods, "Yeah, Hana, our eldest daughter. What are you doing here?"

Gabe scratched his goatee, "Hanako's your daughter?"

"Uhuh." Robert nodded, "Wait, you're Hanako? The famous singer in Asia, I thought you were a Broadway star."

Hana nodded, "Maya Kekoa booked me for a high school reunion."

"Maya hired my daughter?" Tina closed her eyes.

Kai approaches Hana, "Dr. Minoru-George, can I have an autograph?"

Hana nods and takes the pen and paper, and signs her name, "Here, you go."

Kai smiles and gives her a key card, "The penthouse suite."

"You mean," Tina looks at Hana, "you get the penthouse while your father and I get a regular suite!"

"I guess so..." Hana nods. "Guita has relatives that own shares of the hotel." Hana laughs, "The room is just for Guita, Adam, and their baby; Andre and I are staying with Maiko. She invited us to stay with her."

"Maiko?" Tina's eyes popped out, "My cousin, Maiko, invited you and didn't think to invite me!"

"Well," Hana looks down, "from what I heard, Maiko hates you."

"She does," Tina sighs, "which begs the question, why did she invite you?"

Hana shrugs, "Her hatred might not have extended to your descendants."

At the reunion, Hana and Andre sat down at a table with Guita and Adam when a woman in her late 50s sat next to them. "Aloha! You must be Hanako; I'm Maya Kekoa."

Hana smiles, "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Kekoa."

"I hope you don't take this the wrong way," Maya begins, "but you look familiar."

"You're probably thinking of my mother," Hana looks over at her parents' table, "Kristina Minoru."

Maya laughs, "You're Geekris's kid?!"

Hana was appalled, "Pardon?!"

"I meant," Maya backtracked, "Kris's kid. Where is Kris?"

Tina and Robert walk up to the table. Tina puts her hand on Hana's shoulder, "Why don't you get something to eat, Hana?"

Hana nodded and got up, "Guita?"

Guita follows. Tina took Hana's seat, "Maya."

"Kristina, so you have a daughter?"

"I have three." Tina sighs.

"Who would've thought Geekris would reproduce?" Maya chuckled.

Robert puts his hands on his wife's shoulders; Tina shrugs it off and walks away, leaving Maya with a smirk on her face.

Tina stood in the corner with her arms crossed and tears welling up and running down her cheeks. Hana approaches her mother, "Everything ok?"

Tina looks at her daughter, her voice breaking, "In high school, I was known as the geeky emo girl. Geekris was a nickname that Maya and her friends, the popular girls, called me. I had one friend, Gabe. That was til senior year, Maya had turned Gabe against me, and I had no one."

Hana realized that the reason for her mother being obsessed with computers was that they would never leave her. Hana exhaled, "I'll be right back." Hana walked over to the table and explained to Guita what was going on.

Guita asks, "I know that look; what's your plan?"

Hana smirks, "Follow my lead." As they walked back staged, Hana turned to Guita, "This venue is full of old mean girls."

Guita grabs the two microphones and hands one to her friend, "So you wanna..."

"For sure." Hana nods as the curtains open up. Hana then walks up center stage and clears her throat, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 30-plus-year Mahalo high reunion. As most of you can probably tell, I am the product of Kristina Minoru, and I've learned that my mom was bullied. And though, I can't know how that feels. My mom may not be vindictive, but I am. So while she's on the mainland being CEO, a mother, and a wife, you're here, converting oxygen into carbon dioxide. You do everything you can, but in the end, you're still insignificant— a speck of dirt under her shoe. Now, on with the show..."

As Hana and Guita sang 1985 by Bowling For Soup, Hana kept an eye out for Tina, who was beside Robert cheering them on. Hana smiled as the music started; High School Never Ends.

Hana looks at Guita and extends her hands to the audience, calling them up on stage. As soon as everyone was on stage, Hana went to offer Tina to come up on stage, which Tina gladly accept.

Tina pulls Robert up on stage with her, "Our kid's pretty great, huh?"

Robert smiles, "Yeah, she is. Slightly, unhinged, but great nonetheless."

Guita nodged Hana to look at the audience of the children of the reunionees. Hana nods, "This is for all you youngsters who think seeing their parents making out is disgusting. In a few years, it still be disgusting."
