Hana searched her bag, "Where is it?" she huffed as she slammed her bag on the table. "Shit!" Hana slammed the dresser drawer close then at its knob she saw something glistening:
Hana picks it up and sighs in relief, "Yes! Now," Hana looks at the label, "'Made in China' okay, where in China?"
Hana went out the room and found Robert talking to Jiang Nan.
Hana cleared her throat, making Robert turn around. "There you are. Have you seen your mom?"
Hana nods, "In the training arena, with Amy and Nico."
"Thanks." Robert nods and quickly exited.
Jiang Nan looked at Hana, "It wasn't what it looked like…"
Hana sighs, "Okay… um… do you know if its possible to figure out if this was made here?" Hana showed the pendant.
The older woman grabs the pendant, "Follow me."
Hana obliged. "So, this is the pendant, then?" Hana asked after it was determined that the pendant was indeed created in Ta Lo.
"I think so," Jiang Nan admits, "there's only one way to find out. Mind you, it could be lethal…"
Hana nods, "What do I have to do?"
A few hours later, Hana was at the top of the rocky mountain facing a wall. Hana ran her hand over it; it was cold except for one spot which was warm. Hana took a deep breath before putting pressure on the warm spot before it began to glow.
"The fuck!" Hana whispered, as she released a small spark of flame. The pendant around her neck began feeling heavier as the wall transformed into red dragon scales and a dragon broke out. Hana wasn't fazed one bit, the spark began growing til it was a white hot flame and the dragon turned back mesmerized by the white fire. Hana, then, felt like she was burning; as she looks down, she realized she was glowing.
"Where's Hana?" Tina asked Jiang Nan.
"Uh…" Nico looks up, "mom…"
Tina turns to Nico, "What?!"
Amy screamed, making both Tina and Robert look at the scene.
"Is that—" Robert squints.
Tina grabs Robert's glasses and puts it on, "Shit."
Nico brought out the staff and yelled, "Splash!"
Hana felt a splash of cold water on her face, waking her up from her daze. Hana hang the necklace on the creatures claw and jumped, praying, "Let it be water…" Something swooped in, before she hit the water:
Hana opened her eyes and realized she was on the back of the dragon as it slithers towards Ta-Lo.
The man helped Hana off the dragon and sighed, "Looks like she really likes you."
"She?" Amy asked as she ran to her sister, "How could you possibly tell?"
Nico stood holding the staff in her right hand, "Who are you?"
The man extends his hand, "Shang-Chi."
The shorter woman cleared her throat, "And I'm Katy."
Robert shook their hands, "I'm Robert Minoru. This is my wife Tina and our daughters, Amy, Nico, and that's—"
"Hana." the taller woman ended as she looks at Hana, "I'm Xiangling, a big fan."
"Pleasure." Hana shakes Xiangling's hand.
Xiangling smiles, "Your years of fighting is well known in my training grounds."
Shang-Chi sighs, "You're the oldest sibling, aren't you?"
Hana looks at him, "How could you possibly know that?"
"You just seem like an oldest sibling…" Katy shrugs, "I mean you seem like you're tired, which is a look that only a parent or the oldest sibling has. Tired of carrying the family burden?"
