It was yet another sunny day, birds chirping, while the cars today, well, they're slow and well anticipated.
"How's my Bleu? Hmmm should I visit him? Nahh, well..." I thought to myself as I sat alone on a bench near the fountain.
This week will be quite busy for Mikhail as it is their finals week. Studying for him had always been his kind of thrill as for me, I enjoy mostly eating and going out so I figured I shouldn't bother him around like I used to.
Now this finals isn't just about passing but for him this is to prove that he can indeed continue his studies in Manila to become a doctor.
"Hey Miss Beautiful! Is the seat taken?" A young man smiled standing beside me shuffling his dark hair thoroughly.
"You can seat if you want," I replied with a bored expression moving to the other side of the bench.
"Woahhh, I have seen you a couple of times around campus but you sure are really pretty up close," he teased turning to me extending his hand.
"Thank you, I guess?" Uninterested I stood up collecting my things.
"Wait, you're still eating aren't you? Please stay, I didn't mean to bother you."
"You already have," I whispered rolling my eyes.
"What?"
"Nothing, I just need to go. Bye." I tried giving him a soft smile before walking away.
"Where are you going?" he said hurriedly running to me.
"Somewhere."
"Can I go?" He said scratching the back of his head nervously.
"No, thank you."
"Can I just, please?" He smiled genuinely making a peace sign.
I don't really paid much attention at him, I thought he'll get bothered himself and would scram away eventually but he stayed much longer than I thought.
"So, what do you want to order?" he asked pointing at the cake shelves in the cafe.
"I don't want to eat."
"My treat, please do enjoy yourself," smiling at me.
"Okay..."
"I'm Duke by the way, I'm from the Engineering Department," he said extending his hand to me.
"Guseba..." I didn't mean to be rude but I'm just not interested, so I lied not even intending to shake his hand.
"Pretty name, as you are!"
"Thanks." I replied coldly looking outside thinking how possibly could I escape this situation.
"I have a boyfriend, he must be waiting," I said in a hurry standing up.
"You do? Well I've seen you a couple of times around the campus and never have I seen someone with you."
"Yes, he's a busy man. So busy, he's studying to be a doctor," I said proudly looking at the door.
"You know what I think? No matter how busy a man is, he should never let her woman alone."
"I think I am as capable as I am to choose to be alone or not," I snapped walking pass him.
"Hey." He said in a low tone grabbing my arm. Then letting it go as I glared angrily at him.

Although the day went by slowly, it was pretty average, okay. Aside thinking about that guy, Duke, if I recalled correctly. He just gives me the creeps! Such a stalker!
Not letting it get to my head, I continued with my day just usual. It had been a quiet day, my long lectures as usual. However, I couldn't get Bleu out of my mind.
Suddenly my trance broke out, realizing I was now walking towards the gate near the fountain.
"Hey, Guseba?" Duke teased showing my ID. I must've forgot it at the cafe in a hurry.
I just stared at him, retrieving my ID uninterested to talk to him.
"Soooo Daniela, right?" He hollered as he attempts to get my attention for as long as I knew.
My face then brighten seeing a familiar figure from a distance. It was Bleu, leaning against the car, watching attentively everyone that passed the fountain looking for me.
Then I realized Duke has his arm resting on my shoulder and in as swift as a second I saw Bleu stunned, furious running towards us.
His fists were clenching and unclenching, along with his jaw. His blue eyes full of anger and shock, set on Duke with a glare on Mikhail's that would had this man beside me dead in seconds.
Then his eyes flickered to me, I, shocked and nervous not knowing what his next move would be.Within a blink, Duke's arm was ripped off me, his body thrown to the ground.
There I stood motionless, seeing his once deep blue eyes turn dark with anger. Mikhail threw countless punch, one after another as anger flowed through his veins.Without a drop of mercy he continued punching at him uncontrollably before I realized people were crowding in and the man was bathing in his own blood.
"Mikhail!" I shouted staring at him in disbelief still in shock trembling from the sight.
One word was enough to cause him to stop from his assault and look behind him where I was standing. Bleu grabbed my bag holding my hand as if nothing happened then before I know it, I am already inside the car.
It wasn't long before the bright headlights of his cars appeared and the car started moving. Mikhail gripped the steering wheel with both of his hands tightly not breaking a stare to the road ahead.
Although his eyes were calm, his silence I heard isn't. For a brief second, Mikhail took his eyes off the road and onto me, while I was still staring at him. We caught each other's eyes, then broke it as he turned to the road once again.
"I'm sorry," I said breathing lightly holding his bruised hands on the steering wheel.
"You shouldn't be." He turned at me, a smile emerged on his face then lifting his other hand to hold mine into his.
"I overreacted, you shouldn't have seen that," he whispered letting out a sigh.
The rest of the drive had been a complete silence, since our conversation ended a while ago. The howling wind and the gravel against the tires screeching ever so slightly every now and then. Occasionally Mikhail would glance at me, catching a glimpse of my eyes whilst I enjoy the peaceful silence looking around the landscape of the hustling city.
