I sat near the window, brush stroke after another, mixing paints until I have my color. I was painting the nice view from outside. The green mountains and trees.I hovered over my chair to my paints looking for a shade of emerald, when I suddenly had an urge to throw up.

I immediately went to the bathroom and I did threw up. I got back and Mikhail was still there were I left him, on the chair crossed leg reading a book. Oh and did I mention, we were at the library, our favorite spot around the house mostly because it had a beautiful lighting.

Oh I need to go, again. So I did, this time Mikhail noticed it too, when I come back his chair was now already facing my painting spot. So I looked at him confused, he just gave me a nod and went back with his reading.

"Gosh I need to go again!" I whined loudly, annoyed going back and forth. After I went to the bathroom I was shocked to see Mikhail greeting me at the entrance of the library.

"Are you okay?" He asked with an evident look of worry.

"I guess not, I feel dizzy smelling the paints they make me want to throw up and you know me, I love paintssss!!! Ohh wait I need to go back again!"

Worried, Mikhail escorted me in the bathroom and then to the bed, he settled me in and even prepared a basin for when I need to throw up again.

He was now pacing the floors in circle, looking at me then to his hand, before we dialed the telephone and looked at me again.
I can barely contain my laughter, I never seen him this worried and frantic, he's usually very calm. It was not long after a doctor arrived and checked on me.

"Are you sure she's fine?" He asked deep breathing.

"Yes, she is. In fact, she could be more than fine."

"Huh?" I looked confused at the doctor, he was smiling.

"She's pregnant." The doctor announced.

Mikhail sighed then stared at us for moment, me, I'm stunned don't even know if I heard it correctly.

"I'm what?!" I asked again biting my lips from the tension.

"You're going to be a mother." The doctor smiled looking at us.

It wasn't long before Mikhail threw himself on me, lifting me from the bed kissing my forehead, he was jumping in joy.

"I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER!" He shouted shaking the doctor then turning to me for a hug.

"And you're going to be a mother." Mikhail smiled calmly at me, cupping my face before kissing me.

"I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER!!!"

Soon my bump started showing and Mikhail was still over the moon, so over the moon that he started buying baby stuffs and dedicated a whole hallway full of packages for the baby. The doctor said that I'm sensitive at pregnancy so I have to avoid stress, so Mikhail insisted to do everything himself, decorating and organizing the room.

I couldn't help but be grateful every passing minute, I couldn't wait for our little bundle of joy to come. I can't wait see her little smile, her giggle, her cries, I can't wait to get completely lost in her eyes, our little baby.

"Love, I'm sorry. Are you really going to be fine? I could just cancel this conference or you can come with me, how are you feeling?" Mikhail asked touching my belly, rubbing it in circles looking at me.

"Yes, I'm going to be fine I promise. Do they need you there and as much as we need you here, you have to get going already." I replied assuring him with a slight nod then looking back again at the sunrise.

"Sure, but if you need me I can just not go."

I giggled tapping him slightly before giving him a look. After a lot of convincing, I finally make him leave, but he won't be gone for long he'll be back tomorrow morning. I went on my day as usual sitting on my favorite chair on my favorite spot.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

It was a delivery, a message, the man told me it was for me so I hurriedly opened it, reading, "Raine, I'll be back sooner this evening. Don't wait for me and leave the lock open."

I thought that they might moved the schedules so he can be back soon, so I brushed it off.

Later that evening I heard someone on the front door, turning the knob, well I didn't leave it open but I thought I could just wait for him so I did. Running I jolted to the front door, opening it to greet Mikhail. Just as I was about to hug him, I immediately took into account that this is not Mikhail. I was taken aback, looking at it it's it's...

I can't remember what happened after but I now realized I'm in a carriage and there he is,   my hand tied I wiggled my way to the man, kicking him with my legs. It was enough to distract him, soon we were tossing as he lost his grip on the horse and it started raining hard. I continued kicking him until he fell from the running carriage and I was left alone there with an uncontrollably horse. Then we hit a tree and I fell too, I hit my head I got dizzy, everything went to a blur the last thing I saw before closing my eyes is blood, all over me.

"MY BABY!" I gasped chasing breaths turning to Mikhail.

He looked at me emotionless, hugging me tight, before crying.

"Mikhail, what happened?!" I shouted pulling away from him. Still crying, he hugged me tight.

"MIKHAIL! OUR BABY! Why can't I feel her?"

It all happened so quickly, no, what happened. How? Why? I can now see things clear but everything was a blur, the world it just felt, unreal everything felt unreal. The world crumbling before my eyes, my heart in such pain, why?
