Chapter 19

They walked for what seemed like an hour or two, though Tae knew it hadn't been that long he still felt the seconds age like minutes.

And here they were, they'd arrived at an ikea. Wait, ikea ? What's he wanting to do here tae wondered.

"Cmon, you're gonna help me build some shelves that we're gonna buy from here." Jungkook said, grabbing taehyungs hand again and pulling him along into the store.

So he just followed him around, watching as Jungkook looked over the different options of shelves, smiling like an idiot.

"This one looks cool." He said while pointing at a shelf Jungkook hadn't even looked at, catching the others attention.

"Hmm.." he walked over and looked over the details of the one tae pointed at, nodding in agreement.

"Good pick, I wonder how long I'd of been here had I not brought you."

"You'd of been here for days." Taehyung joked, smiling whilst grabbing one of the shelves.

"I'm gonna get maybe three," Jungkook added in, grabbing two more.

They continued walking for a while longer, joking and laughing. Tae had completely forgotten his troubles in the time they were in the store, not dwelling on it for the rest of the night.

By the time they actually walked out of the store, it was around 10 or 11 pm ? Neither of them knew for sure, they were just guessing based on the night felt.

They decided to start heading to kooks house, except since neither of them drove a car there, they both had to walk.

Not that they minded.

The walk was slow yet lively, both making conversation that made it to where the mood never dropped.

The two quickly realized upon arriving at Jungkooks home that everyone else was asleep, enjoying dreams of fantasy or soulmates.

They were quick and quiet like foxes when they went up to his room, scurrying up the stairs while simultaneously trying not to drop the shelves they were carrying.

Once they'd made it safely to his room, they exchanged a look before bursting out into giggles.

They didn't know what was funny, if anything was. Their moods were just so joyous that it made everything hilarious.

"Well, let's get started with these shall we ?" The younger of the two said, gesturing to the shelves lying in his bed.

They started to set things up, grabbing the materials needed until taehyung happened to catch sight of a clock, '4:05 AM'.

He took a moment and actually used his brain while looking between Jungkook, the drill, and the clock.

"Hey kook ?" He hummed in reply, not yet thinking about how loud the drill would be, "I don't think we can do this right now."

The other looked at him with confusion before remembering how noisy drills are, "you're right, we'd wake the whole house."

He frowned at that, though Jungkook had honestly only wanted to get shelves as an excuse to hang out with taehyung some more, he had still gotten excited about putting up the shelves at some point.

"Hmm.." he hummed and looked back over at taehyung before speaking with a hopeful smile.

"Wanna watch a movie ?"

So they did, they sat down and put on multiple movies, but if you asked them the plot or even just the movie name neither of them would know what to say.

The movie quickly became a background sound, drowned out by the soft conversation being had between the two boys.

They weren't really talking about anything in particular, just whatever popped into their heads.

Pets, weather, shows, friends.

Eventually after not much longer of their talking though, birds could be heard. They sang their songs, so high pitched that it interrupted the two boys.

It was only then that they realized the morning light had been seeping in for a while now.

"So,, wanna sleep here ?" Jungkook asked, getting up closing his curtains. Luckily for them, they were special curtains that were extra good at keeping the light out.

"Yea, of course." He replied, crawling over to a part the bed and plopping down with a thump, Jungkook following shortly after.

"Good night, or rather good morning."

Without them noticing, drowsiness took over the two, lulling them into sleep within seconds.

Guess they were more tired after their night than they'd thought, sometimes having happiness can be tiring I suppose.
