Life lived
Just this once
Endless openings
May never obtain
Chance
To speak to her
Nor make her mine
If not accomplished sooner
In my life
She'll stand a goner
I'll never be able to
See her
Feel her
Embrace her
Again
Hidden off
All fronts
I must confront
Storm inside
Within brewing soul
Pain inside my chest
Stabbing concrete walls
Prisoner unleashed
New part
Of me
Reality halts me
I'll doubt
She wants me
Bring it up
To best brother
Life lived
Just this once
Within thread
Of bold steel
Caging me
Eternally
Until commence of
Fate aspires
Across this land
Variant speaks
Waiting kills
Continuations will rise
Inevitable
No river to sweep
Me away
No creek current
Strong enough to
Drag me under ice
No lake present
To drown my sorrows
No ocean
To carry her away
From me
Yet alone
Our struggles
Stricken across
Exploited heart
Life lived
Only ever once
Change inevitable
Chance rising
Against moon on the hillside.
