Auto Accident Reconstruction
Objective: To determine the truth behind a hit and run vehicular crime scene and help the victim discover the reason as to why this occurred.
On Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, at approximately 8:46 PM, a dangerous hit and run vehicular accident occurred on the rural back road of Hill Street, and its intersections with Cherry Road and Mine Road. The victim is a 16-year-old male; he is approximately 5' 11'' weighing 135 lbs. His left leg is broken, he has concussion, external bruising with some bleeding, and abrasions on his hands and arms. He has been identified as Max Million. He was found splayed out on the street, nearly unconscious. One of his shoes came off from the impact, flying across the street; an iPod was found, as well as paint chips, headlight pieces, and tire marks. We suspect that as the sun set, Max was going for a nightly run on the back roads; he is a part of the local school's track team and strived to get a head start. He was most likely out in the dark, and the idiotic driver was speeding and did not see him. After speeding down the back roads, the car struck him, leaving him injured and broken. Upon realization of the consequences, it is likely that the guilty driver sped off, not understanding that they would only face more troubles later. It was not revealed until the boy's father arrived at the hospital that it was revealed his insane mother had been trying to track him down after his father got custody of him. Mr. Jack Million, Max's father, explained that his ex-wife has a history of stalking and assault. The system has given her chances through therapy, though she always relapses in her ways. The mention of this is important because the paint chips from the vehicle are like that of the paint from the car his mother, Nancy Kova-Million, has. The tire tracks are similar to the description of the tires of the mother's model too. It is neither confirmed nor denied that this was indeed Nancy, but she will be called in for questioning later. Her car will also be examined, and the back roads will be studied for the reconstruction process. Max Million is an innocent teenage boy and deserves closure to know what happened to him that night. We, the investigators, participate thoroughly in the ongoing investigation to search for the truth behind this unfortunate incident.
For our reconstruction, we will gather information regarding Nancy Kova-Million's vehicle; if it is similar enough, we can obtain the same model and color for this procedure. We will use a test dummy dressed as Max Million and will run various rounds of tests to see what impact, the angles, and other factors contributed to the way the scene played out. What was the environment like? What about the vehicles and the drivers? The road conditions, the weather? Is there a motive, or is this a simple hit and run?
We will work closely with local authorities to determine the timeline of events. We will start by analyzing the evidence presented henceforth at the scene, then use evidence and suspects to formulate the reconstruction. As of right now, we will sketch out the possibility, then gather more information to finalize the story. Here is to closure, for the boy and his father!
