Wildflowers engulf
Lavender atmosphere
Taken aback within
Wilderness
Yellow line
Splits thread down the middle
Ties each side
To its own
Yet this road
This path
Is our meeting place
Forevermore
Cruising down the
Mountain's edge
Rust around the rim
Red thread distant
Red vintage truck
Black wheels spinning
Guns in the back
Rods on the shore
Could we ever
Want much more?
Clouds embark
Dream-like state
Emotion overcomes
Invisible tears drizzle
Alongside this week's
Rain showers
Suppressed shadows lurk
His smile echoes on
His dreams and hopes
For shattered future
Stolen of his past
I thank him silently
Otherwise, deemed crazy
Thank you, Grandpa
Of this glorious
Hills' Drive.
