{Winter}

I wrapped my arms around my love's waist as I awoke to reality, "Good morning," I whispered.
She stirred a bit and murmured in her sleep; I kissed her cheek and held her close to my chest, cherishing the warmth I could always take in now. She turned towards me and snuggled into my chest, making me warm, "Baby..." she said softly.
"Good morning," I whispered, brushing Strand of hair out of her face. She smiled up at me. I tilted my head sideways to look to her, "What are you thinking about already?"
"What do you think?" She replied playfully, rolling her eyes. I shrugged, "That's why I asked!"
Her warm smile engulfed me, "You."
"Oh, heh," I chuckled. I rolled out of bed to face the window. She remained attached to me, "Come back, I'm cold!"
I rolled my eyes, "I'm right here! There are blankets anyway."
She pouted, "I'd still be cold."
"Layer up!"
I felt her arms snake around my waist as she rested her head on my shoulder, "Please come back to bed dear," she begged longingly.
"Just look at that snow," I pointed out the window. She remained in place, "It's beautiful. We couldn't have picked a better home."
"It isn't nearly as beautiful as you," I told her charmingly, to which she kissed me passionately.
"Oh, I just love Vermont. Perfect and far from the old lives we put lines through, no?"
"Yeah, this truly is the best place. But wanna know what I just love and adore more than our little old farmhouse and the state?"
"The freedom?"
"Well... kind of."
"How so?"
I spun around and caught her off guard, scooping her up bridal-style, "You, darling," I answered joyfully, bouncing her in my arms as I pranced about, her laugh echoing the halls.
I dropped her on the bed and landed next to her, hugging her tightly.
"Baby, what time is it?" I inquired.
"It's only 6:45..."
"Well, no one will be out in this weather all day."
She smiled, "Can you stay then?" Her pleading eyes made me fall in love with her over and over again. Yes of course," I replied, "I'll always be here, you know."
She nodded slightly, "I know. I just hope.. eh... it's ok."
I sat up, holding her in the sheets, "what's on your mind love?"
"I just hope we're never separated again."
I shook my head, "I won't let that happen. As long as you don't let it happen, it wont," I replied sternly.
She turned glassy eyed, "This time around it won't. I promise you this."
"I promise you as well."
Silence overcame, then she spoke up, "So... what now?"
I looked to the clock; it read 6:55. My gaze shifted back to her, and with a flirtatious smirk I told her, "Well, we do have plenty of time... heh."
She giggled as she became wrapped in sheets, taking me under with her, "Yes, yes we do darling."
