Marinette's eyes began to shut as she could barely hear and listen to her teacher give instructions for the upcoming project that was coming up. She could feel taps on her shoulder, probably from Alya who was her desk mate, but ignored it. Everything was starting to feel numb and the sound surrounding her was also starting to quiet down.
Before she could fall completely into a deep sleep, she could feel a shove down her arm, that was being used to prop her head up, leading her face falling onto the wooden desk. She yelped in surprise, feeling a sudden pain hit her forehead. "Wake up idiot, Ms. Bustier has been calling you." a deep voice, that was certainly NOT Alya's said, bringing her back to reality.
What she had expected was a brown-haired girl sitting next to her, yet her blurry eyes could make out the same hair in front of her, rather than being on the left side of her. She brought her attention to the front, eyes widening in confusion as to why she was now sitting down the row with Nino, where her rival Adrien used to sit.
She snapped her head to her side, revealing a lock of blonde messy hair and green eyes sitting beside her, glaring at her. "Good morning, Ms. Dupain-Cheng!" the voice of Ms. Bustier rang through her ears with laughter from her classmates following afterward. "Glad to have you back from the dead."
Marinette laughed sheepishly, scratching her cheek embarrassed as she had made a scene. "So so sorry Ms. Bustier! I didn't sleep-"
"Yes I know Marinette, it seems you never sleep nowadays." she sighed at the bluenette's actions, yet carried on with her topic. "Well, while you were sleeping, everyone chose their partners already. Except you and Adrien, of course. So you two will be partnered up for the project."
Marinette's eyes widened, "Wait, what?!" she exclaimed, snapping her eyes down at her BFF, who was usually her partner but seemed to be Nino's partner now. Alya mouthed an apology as she tossed her head at Nino gesturing that that was her reason for leaving her out.
Marinette knew Alya had a huge crush on Nino for a while, so she couldn't get mad.
But, that meant her partner was now... Adrien Agreste. The man she hated the most in this world. Her eyes trailed to reach his and smiled shyly in an attempt to get along. However, he just scoffed and rolled his eyes, turning away from her.
This was gonna be a loooong project...

No matter how much the two hated each other, Adrien was very serious about his education, and so was Marinette. They concluded that they would go to Marinette's house for the project, and now, that was where they were at.
As soon as Adrien had entered the room, his eyes were burning at the disgusting color of pink. It was overused in here. The walls were painted a light pink, as well as her bedsheets and pillow cases and her circle rug pink. Disgusting.
The project was to come up with common likes and/or dislikes that would create a bond between the two participants. The reason for this project was to cooperate with a stranger and learn what we have in common and form an alliance, or something like that.
Color wasn't going to be a common like. Adrien was more into black and green, giving off a depressed boy vibe, while Marinette was into everything pink, like a preppy elementary girl.
The color was starting to make Adrien nauseous. It was truly disgusting.
Adrien sat on her desk chair, while Marinette created the distance and sat on her chaise, propping up her leg to write on her notepad. "Okay, so something we have in common: we go to the same school!"
