"Luka?" Marinette's eyes widened, hearing the name of the boy she hadn't talked to for ages. The boy who had comforted her the last remaining months she stayed in Paris 5 years ago. The boy who had confessed his love to her, and the next day, she was gone. That boy. "Gosh, I-I wonder how he's doing..."
It was an awkward feeling; having to talk about the boy she rejected. She wasn't sure if he hated her or if he could understand her point of view for leaving, but it left a huge burden on her chest of guilt. This was the first time she rejected a boy, and if she were to look back, she was leading him on when she always knew from the beginning that there would be nothing more than a friendship between them.
She did have feelings for a certain feline, after all.
"Luka started his band!" Alya grinned, talking about the boy, unknown to Marinette's uncomfortableness, and Adrien's growing irritation, and continued to yap away. "And the tea girl-- he was Jagged Stone's son! Him and Juleka!"
"Matter of fact, sometimes his band would work on songs with Jagged Stone-- can't lie, they're pretty good," Nino added. "They sometimes perform at the club whenever I'm too lazy to host."
"Wow! Good for him!" Marinette forced a smile, trying to show the most enthusiasm for her former friend. "He always dreamed about going big through his love for music."
Adrien rolled his eyes, clenching his teeth and balling his fists, having to hear the woman he loved talk about another guy in front go his face. So she knows about his dreams, huh? That thought racing through Adrien's mind left a sour look on his face, something Nino caught on quickly.
Nino knew he was about to explode, and it wasn't helping that Alya was adding fuel to his fire. "And girl!! He is so handsome--"
A growl almost left the deathly silent blonde's mouth, and on cue, Nino needed to think of a solution quickly, or Adrien was about to flip the table. "H-hey babe! I think our waiter is at our table! W-we should go now!" Nino clasped his hands onto his girlfriend's shoulders and began to pull her away.
"H-hey-- wait-- I wasn't--!"
Adrien cleared his throat, "I think you two should resume your date, so Marinette and I can focus on our food." He glared at the female brunette who was dragged away to the table at the far end of the room.
Marinette tilted her head in confusion with a crooked smile. "We hadn't ordered yet--"
"Well, I think it was enough to talk about Luka and more talk of what we will order. Don't you think?" Marinette raised a brow at this but quickly moved on from it.
Did he notice that I was uncomfortable talking about Luka? Is that why he sent Alya and Nino away?
"So, the steak and lobster?"

Marinette and Adrien had ordered quite a feast-- a Matter of fact, it was Adrien who had almost ordered the entire menu, leaving their table as if it was an all-you-can-eat buffet', catching many eyes from the other customers, who had at most 4 items on their table, staring at the blonde and bluenette with disdain and envy.
Another way of showing Adrien's way of exaggerating his money.
"God, I'm full," Marinette said, trying her best to hide her indigestion from stuffing her face with an assortment of meat, vegetables, and soup. While she was in Asia, she learned that it was disrespectful to leave food uneaten on her plate. But even so, had she taken another bite, she would have explode.
"You ate quite a lot, I wasn't expecting that from someone so petite and skinny." Adrien stared at Marinette with a look of surprise. Adrien had finished his meal about twenty minutes before Marinette had.
