Adrien was a man of his word. Due to his strict yet disappointing upbringing, he had experienced many broken promises. So the boy vowed to always stand by his word. Even if it meant attending this God-forsaken 'concert' his classmates were presenting on the disgusting pier. Adrien much rather be at home practicing the piano than listening to the awful music this band was performing. Even NIno's beats sounded like heaven, and he was still learning how to DJ.

But he promises Marinette. And, it's not like he's watching for no reason, he had struck a good deal, a very good deal. In trade for his time there, Marinette promised to never hang out with Luka anymore, and he knew Marinette was righteous. He could count on her keeping her promise.

He sat between Marinette and Nino, sitting and watching the band work to harmonize with each other. This had been going on for 25 minutes. 25 minutes too long, as Adrien grumbled in his head as he watched his clock every few seconds.

The blonde watched the man who fit the description of Luka. Especially since he knew the faces of all his classmates, Luka was one whom he had never met before. He had naturally dark colored hair, yet was box dyed with cyan at his tips. His eyes were slanted and narrow which gave him a mysterious vibe to his atmosphere, yet his smile was gentle.

He strummed the strings of his guitar with passion and focus. Even Adrien could tell from a distance that music meant a lot to the boy in front of him. He might've believed that he and Marinette were nothing but friends and that he was purely using the girl for some inspiration. But if it hadn't been for the occasional flirtatious smile sent to the clueless and proud bluenette, it made Adrien extra cautious.

As the saying goes, 'Men know men.' Adrien knew what the eyes of fascination were, He liked her.

But he sure as hell couldn't have her.

Soon, but not soon enough, the band had played their last song, earning cheers and excessive claps from the audience. I'm sure he heard the same thing, that sounded like absolute shit. Adrien thought in his mind, leaving an unimpressed look on his face.

His classmates had gathered around to greet the band, saying their words of congratulatory greetings, talking about how proud they were, and how we were in the presence of future celebrities and musicians.

Even Marinette had joined the conversation, and of course, Adrien followed behind. "You did amazing, Luka! I liked the last riff you added to the song!" Marinette grinned, jumping to hug the colored hair boy, which earned an uncomfortable grumble from the blonde.

Luka smiled, "Thanks Marinette, you helped me come up with that one the last time you were here."

Adrien scoffed, which earned a light jab from the bluenette in front of him, who silently signaled to 'play nice'. Marinette turned her body towards Adrien, who gestured to come forward. She grabbed onto his arm and faced Luka with a smile. "You two haven't met before, Adrien this is Luka, Luka this is Adrien!"

The two smiled, shaking hands as a greeting, "the model right?"

Adrien nodded, "I do a lot more than just modeling." Of course, he couldn't help himself to brag, earning a sheepish chuckle from Luka.

Marinette clapped her hands in excitement, earning a glance from the two boys. "Okay, you two get to know each other, I'll go catch up with the others," she said hurriedly, rushing to the other people in the band to offer more congratulations. leaving the two boys in awkward silence.

Adrien pressed his lips together, knowing Marinette had intentionally left them so Adrien could better learn about the boy in front of him. Adrien definitely wanted to leave, but he knew it would be awkward, and Marinette would probably scold him afterward. So instead, he sucked it up and gave the most award-winning smile to Luka.
