Just like every other lunch session, the blonde and bluenette were dragged onto their usual table to eat with their best friends. Usually, the group would talk stories, and complain about their homework assignments. Marinette and Adrien would regularly bicker, and Nino and Alya would sometimes throw a cute flirtatious gaze at each other.

But this lunch session was different; it was quiet.

Why? You may ask. Because there wasn't another scheduled argument from everyone's favorite enemies.

Instead, they were giggling. Not to each other. To their phones.

Adrien had his phone hidden under the table, grinning ear to ear at the one person who made his day. And Marinette brought it close to her face, blushing at the texts.

Who were they texting? You ask. Well, of course, their secret crush/friend. Alias: Kitty and Bugaboo.

"Jeez, look at these two," Nino whispered to Alya from across the table, bringing their attention to the blonde and bluenette whose eyes were glued to their phones, geeking every time the sound of a ringer went off. "I wonder what's going on over there..."

Nino said mischievously to the brunette, putting some sly ideas into her head. He knew how much Alya shipped Adrien and Marinette together. Even though they spoke nothing but insults, Alya had an eye for romance, and her radar went off with these two.

The sound of their ringers going off wasn't helping their case at all.

Marinette hadn't noticed, but everyone else had. Even Adrien. The moment Adrien had sent a text, the sound of a chirp was heard from Marinette's phone. And when Marinette sends a text, a ding goes off on Adrien's.

It was clear to everyone, except Marinette what was going on. They were texting each other.

Adrien was smart: An A+ student, joined every extracurricular activity the school offered, and was the King of debates. It didn't take rocket science to know that Marinette was his bugaboo.

But what he couldn't figure out was... when he was okay with that.

He swore on his life that he was in love with this girl, and if there was a chance they met in real life, he'd come to accept and cherish her no matter who she was. But the fact that her real identity turned out to be the girl across from him, the girl who he'd tease and argue with as if it was their daily routine, the girl who he would never spare a glance at, was her. He had no idea what to do about his feelings.

What's even more crazy was, he continued to reach out to Ladybug, or should he say Marinette, every day, every morning, every hour, every night, every chance he got. He couldn't afford to lose his comfort character, and the more they chatted through the screen, the more he yearned to reveal himself to the blue-haired girl.

But, Adrien had no choice but to digress. He knew Marinette's true feelings for the blonde; irritation and disgust. That was how they always looked at each other before. Except, instead of bickering, Adrien liked to tease her with a different approach. He was more... sly.

''Texting your booooyyyfriend, Marinette?" Alya elbowed her shoulder, suggesting something sneaky to the girl, catching the attention of Adrien, who brought his gaze from under the table, to bluebell eyes.

He smirked, "boyfriend? I didn't think someone would ever fall in love with you." He knew damn well he had...

Marinette scoffed at his comment, "Shut it, Adrien, it's the same guy I told you about last week, you dummy."

Alya gasped in response to this, eyes widened as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing right now. "You told Adrien and you didn't tell me?!"

Marinette rolled her eyes, "Come on Al's, you know I couldn't. You'd freak out." Alya sent the petite girl a death glare and Marinette giggled, unfazed by her killer gaze. "Just like you are, right now."

Adrien didn't like how slow-paced the topic was headed, so he decided to rush things, and well, quickly went straight to the point. "So, you like him or what?" Needless to say, this harmless question had a huge ulterior motive behind it.

Marinette paused at the question, looking to the sky as if the air had her answer. "That--..." she trailed off, making Adrien lean closer to hear her whispers. "is none of your business."

He glared at the bluenette and leaned back in disappointment and scoffed, crossing his arms in front of him. "Typical little Marinette." he snarled playfully. "Just say you like lover boy here and go for him."

"And, why are you so concerned about who I'm dating, again?" Marinette challenged, indicating that their usual arguments were about to begin.

"Not concerned," just impatient...

The one thing holding Adrien back from revealing himself was a necessary confession.

He needed the bluenette to confess her feelings. To say that she felt the same way Adrien felt towards Ladybug, Then maybe will it give Adrien the confidence to 'let the cat out of the bag'.

"Adrien may not be concerned, but I am!" Alya shouted in the girl's ear, turning red impatiently waiting for Marinette to spill the beans. "Who is he-- and do you like him or what?!"

Marinette giggled once again. It was like she was unafraid of the one person who was able to bring even Chloe to her knees. "Secret."

She knew how to stir both Alya and Adrien up.

And before Marinette could continue, another chirp came from her phone. But this time, it wasn't Kitty who had texted. Adrien narrowed his eyes at the phone that was in her hands, curious as to who the hell had texted her that wasn't him.

"Lover boy again?" Alya scoffed, rolling her eyes pissed off at the thought of being left in the dark by her own best friend.

Marinette took a peek at her phone, read the message, and giggled. "No, it's not him. It's just Luka."

"Luka? " Nino and Alya asked at the same time.

"Luka?" Adrien asked with a bit of disgust and curiosity mixed with his tone. "Who the hell is Luka?"

She nodded her head, "Juleka's brother, remember? She introduced us at Jagged Stone's concert last week, and we've been texting ever since! He's so funny." Marinette grinned cluelessly showing the group a picture of Luka's new guitar that Jagged Stone had given him.

Texting... ever since... That one sentence made Adrien's blood boil. What the hell does that mean?
