Today was the day, Marinette smiled to herself in the mirror, checking her appearance for the nth time within an hour.

She was nervous. No, more than nervous. This was her dream job; to work in the fashion industry and slowly make a name for herself. Even when she was in China, she did as much as she could to promote and design her work and sell it out in the street.

Hell, she even made superhero costumes for Halloween; Ladybug and Chat Noir were her all-time most popular.

And if it weren't for those designs, she wouldn't have gotten recognition from the most successful fashion icons in the world. Working at 'Gabriel' was always her dream job, and it sucked that she'd have to move back to her hometown, but she chose success over trauma.

I screamed internally rereading the emails from the CEO of Gabriel. He wanted an interview with me back in Paris immediately. He even asked how I came up with such designs, that were originally meant for kids, and became a favorite amongst even teens and young adults all over the world.

I had told the CEO that unfortunately I couldn't take all the credit as it was more of a team effort.

Which it was.

Years before, I had made those designs with a long-time friend. He and I had the same passion for the kids book of 'The Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir." It was like an obsession no one knew but us, and that was how we bonded. It was a connection that was truly unforgettable and we always promised each other that we'd create them into something real.

Unknowingly, this was how I made them real to me.

I created all types of designs, ranging from costumes to props, and even made other superheroes like Carapace and Rena Rouge. And since I had time, I even made plush toys of Plagg and Tikki.

I had told the CEO a simple story of my past, yet he - or - she, was very adamant about meeting me!

Of course, I couldn't deny, that we set up a meeting and they even paid for my plane ticket there.

I heard an alarm clock begin to beep, reminding me to 'hurry my ass up' and get to the interview. The last thing I wanted to do was show my tardiness or clumsiness, which I was already known for.

I took one last long look at myself and sighed in contentment.

My hair was braided half up and down with my long locks of hair curled at the bottom. I was wearing a white turtle neck long-sleeved shirt tucked into a red mini skirt. I wore a pantyhose that matched my skin tone and heels that finished the look.

I figured it was both professional and stylish. Exactly how I wanted to portray myself as, for my first impression of this person.

I smiled, I hate to be conceited, but I became very beautiful once I left all the toxic bullying behind.

Just as I reached for my door handle, I heard a knock. I furrowed my eyes, I wasn't expecting company..? I looked through my peephole and sighed in relief. I rolled my eyes and opened the door revealing my two besties.

"Nino, Alya!" I greeted! "I didn't know you guys were coming?" I stepped aside to let the two come in and they entered holding snacks and champagne. "What's that for?"

The two smiled and shrugged, setting the food they brought onto my kitchen island and began opening their chips. "Oh yenno, a housewarming party since you're officially back to Paris!"

I chuckled to myself and pointed to the many opened and unopened boxes that were filled with either my clothes, sewing machines, cloths, or household items.
