Romulus pointed his sharp sacred sword at his little apprentice. With a voice, colder than any glacier, he spoke,
"The last favour that I could give to you is to seal you inside this dark forest. You shall never be aged, nor can you die from it... You shall not leave this land, unless there is someone of my own blood and flesh, offered their virgin blood, to free you,"
The young witch, couldn't lift her head as her former swordmaster badly beat her. She was also exhausted since she couldn't control the power that had just been released from her body.
When her power was released, it was too overwhelming. Her power almost devoured her, and she almost died from it. Yet, with her newly obtain power, she had punished Romulus's armies that mercilessly burned, and slaughtering her people.
When she went face to face with Romulus, she was on the verge of losing her strength. After all, it was a long night when she punished those thousands of Romulus's armies.
Before Romulus left, the young witch shouted in anguish. She loved Romulus and regarded him as her guardian and, at the same time, her swordmaster. The pain from his betrayal is too much for her.
Still, she asked him another question, "At least, tell me the real reasons why you killed my fathers. Why you betrayed our tribes? Uncle Rome!"
Romulus stopped walking, and he felt great despair crawling inside his broken heart. He controlled his hidden emotion, and he turned to her. With his usual kind smile, the last words he responded to her,
"He should have chosen me and bore my child. Instead, he married that barbaric man and you are the results of their love. And, that... That is your greatest sin, my little apprentice,"
With his last words, he left his little apprentice inside the dark forest... The dark forest's entrance was officially closed. Romulus set up a barrier that only his own blood can undo the barrier. But, that is impossible. He didn't plan to marry or to have an heir. So he made that kind of spell.
However, as years go by, he eventually had a child that was born from his lust and the grief of missing his first love.
Little did he know, in the future, his own descendant would eventually free the girl that he sealed inside the dark forest.
