a.n: sorry for the late update! Hmm, I was thinking maybe I could post an update once in a week? Every Saturday or Sunday. I was busy with work and private matters. But I still want to continue writing because it helps me to forget things. Anyway, thank you for still reading our works! Until then, enjoy this chapter and take care :)

"T—that is impossible—" Medeia muttered quietly. She couldn't raise her voice to denied the proposal, yet her expression showed her displeasure with the idea of marrying Haidee again.
She barely took back her wedding ring from Haidee. And, now the King wanted to marry them off again?!
Yes, she loves her. She loves that blind princess who is kind and gentle. She adores that princess who wore an innocent rabbit mask but her actual appearance is a sly fox that locked her.
She convinced herself that she merely married Haidee only to get out of the Dark Forest. Medeia also convinced herself that the union between them during that night was only to break the spell, and it was not because she wanted to be with Haidee.
Regardless of what she feels about Haidee, Medeia has decided that she will not have any connection with Romulus' descendants any more. Hence, she was slowly relieved when she learned that Haidee isn't with a child and because that will change everything.
Meanwhile, Liam furrowed in displease. He doesn't understand why he could feel such a strong emotion towards another man? The days and nights he spent with Medeia were torture meant to him, and he feels something he shouldn't feel. The urge to love someone finally occurred to him. But that person he fell for is a man?
Gaian, on the other side, amused to see Medeia's wordless reaction. The rosy cheeks on Medeia's face are priceless to him.
'He must be happy that he wants to jump out of the building right now for marrying my daughter. After all, my daughter is the fairest of all. He must have had a lot of good fortune, or perhaps he saved the entire Kingdom to have my daughter as his future wife,'
However, a voice of soft laughter from Haidee made all the eyes to look at her.
"Father, I do not wish to marry him. Whilst Dion is a good man, attentive, protective, charming, and much too perfect in comparison to any other man I've ever met, but that's that," Haidee stated calmly as her gaze met Medeia's. She swears she saw a glimmer of sadness in the emerald eyes before it returned to its usual coldness.
Haidee was beyond happy when her father allowed her to marry someone of her own choice. What her father didn't know is the fact the young man is a young lady. The consequences of their lies would be severe if her father found out about it. But marrying a stranger female physician is better than marrying someone else.
That is what Haidee thought at first. But learning that her Kingdom's state is dire, Haidee understood that the Qaedel empire had punished her Kingdom.
'The Qaedel Emperor must have thought that I run away from the marriage. So, they punished our Kingdom,'
Slowly, her eyes averted from Medeia's. Her heart clutched mercilessly, but she continued speaking, "But I'm afraid that I will have to reject the proposal. I wish to marry with the Qaedel Emperor,"
Her statement made Gaian's brows creased in worried. He knew that Haidee made such a decision because of the Kingdom's state, and however, he would not let his precious daughter sacrifice herself again for the sake of the Kingdom.
"I will not let you—"
Gaian was about to deny Haidee's request when Haidee intervened with exact words. Her tone was stern as if she were saying something critical "Gaian, the King. Please go on with the wedding plans. As you have always mentioned to me, our people are our top priority,"
