'Thank you for rescuing us from the snake woman. I will remember the deeds.'
- Minerva.
Medeia's eyes were cold when she scraped and burned the letter. As she remembered the strange woman, she clenched her fist hatefully.
It was difficult for her to conceal her murderous intent when she recognized the person who poisoned her babies. It turned out the one who poisoned them was a woman, a skilled one at that.
Medeia wants to kill her right away, but she chooses to remain calm. Then, she played along with the disguised Minerva until she was certain that the real Minerva and her people had escaped.
Meanwhile, Medeia intended to have a little fun with the snake-woman. She intends to lure her into a dangerous trap and slowly suffocate her. She will demonstrate to her how to kill properly. She will allow her to experience the worst feeling in the world. She will make her beg her that being born as a pest is better than to being born as a human.
Until the snake-woman allowed her to see the entire truth about her true identity.
Medeia's plan abruptly changed. Along with the sentiment that she harbors for herself. Most of all, her desire for vengeance was... Gone.
The feeling she felt for her family, and her tribe. The memories that she had. Everything seemed to not make sense to Medeia.
For all these times, she was just mimicking the real Medeia. The way Medeia talk, walk, almost her characters was mimicked by her.
The Medeia adored by Einar, Yon, Edan, and the rest of Den Tribe was not her. She is only a stand-in. A replacement with no identity.
When she thinks about it, she bears no resemblance to Einar or Yon. Her only feature was her deep emerald eyes. Her true appearance was a cross between Karis and Bulan.
What about the people she met in the Dark Forest? Armen, Huttign, Jada, and Kael. They were protecting her, they loved her.
Again, did she cherish and love them as Medeia or as her true self? Similarly, do they love her for herself or because she resembles the Medeia character?
Put aside all of that. What about Haidee?
Does she love her as she is, or does she love her because of the Medeia she has mimicked? Maybe her true self won't fall in love with Haidee. Perhaps it was the Medeia in her that made her fall in love with Haidee.
What about... Atlas and Ciel? She even named them, as how the Hay Den named their child. She made them, the Hay Den Heir and Heiress.
But, was it because of the Medeia in her? In the first place, those child... Do they even deserved to call the impostor as their mother?
In the name of Medeia, she felt as if her heart was manipulated, forced, into loving those people.
Those thoughts made Medeia chuckled sadly, closing her eye with her hand.
'I was abandoned right after I was born. They wrapped me with a slave cloth, despite I was born from a royal. As a helpless baby, I was thrown inside a dirty cave, and I was forced to grow up, and mimicking someone's identity.'
"Hah," Medeia gasped, as she clutched her chest in pain. From the depths of her heart, strange emotions were bubbling up. The fact that she was unable to understand the meaning of her emotions left her confused yet again.
