a.n: hi everyone! Another update, before another day of waiting :( 

Next week, I'm going to be a bit busy with my job and family. Now that there's no more WFH, so I'll be spending most of my time at my office. Sighhh.

"So stop flirting with everyone and making them fall in love with you! You rascal!"

Haidee blushed, embarrassed by herself. How could she have just spoken those words to Medeia?! Moreover, she grabbed Medeia's collar, and their faces almost met! 

Haidee had been avoiding Medeia since that night. Despite her best efforts to avoid her, they were now seated at the same table as a result of the royal banquet.

The royal banquet is only attended by the King and his selected royal family that only included Haidee and Ines and the High-ranking nobles. They were seated at the same table asIt was a private dinner that the King organized, to informed his High-ranking nobles about his plan.

King Gaian, on the other hand, has been keeping a close eye on his beloved daughter's behaviour. Haidee appeared to be sighing, lost, and occasionally frustrated. When the new royal physician was present, his daughter's face would light up, but she would become angry and upset when the young physician interacted quite friendly with others.

But, mostly, her gaze would be drawn to the young physician. That attitude contrasts sharply with her usual demeanour, which is reserved and lacks expression. Before, no one ever catch her attention. 

Though, he did notice that Haidee usually have irregular changes in moods and diets. If it was before, she didn't like to eat much, but now she could eat the whole plate. 

"Sigh," King Gaian sighed sadly when he gazed at Haidee who was secretly stealing glances at Medeia, who looked rather indifferent. 'If only I have more power than the Qaedel Empire, then my daughter will not sacrifice herself for the sake of this Kingdom!'

He turned his face to Ines, who sat next to Medeia. Ines has his hair and her mother's eyes. Among his other children, Ines is the one who could be on par with Haidee. The only thing that Ines lack is his love and not inheriting the hyacinth blue eyes.

"Princess Ines, my daughter. His Grace Duke Dion Haydn is a fine gentleman. Despite being the Chief of Royal Physician, he is also fit to be a general. I saw him fought with Sir Liam, and never once Sir Liam ever won against him. He has the quality to become a King, and you will be the Queen of this Kingdom if you agree to marry him," King Gaian smiled as he glanced proudly at Medeia. 

It's such a waste to lose someone like Medeia. Thus, he will let his second-best daughter marry that young physician. After all, the reason why he called the High-ranking nobles was to inform them about his plan.

'It's sad that my dearest Haidee refused him... Because they look good together,' Gaian sighed mentally.

Meanwhile, Ines's eyes sparkled with ambition. So, it means that she will become a Queen, and her lineage will continue to reign? The thought of it delighted her heart! She took a glance at her grandfather, who finally cheered up.

Ines was about to reply, but the following words from King Gaian have torn her heart apart.

"However, Haidee's second child would become King of my Kingdom, just as her first child would become Emperor of Qaedel," Gaian spoke proudly as he looked at Haidee, who was suddenly troubled. Gaian wanted to give to and honour his daughter, whom he had wronged in the past.
