A year had passed since then, and Medeia is now a 15 years old girl. She grew a bit taller than any one of her age. Her face is well refined, with broad and lean muscle. She is not bright anymore or causing trouble. Ever since her Master was forced to leave, now all Medeia could do is practice independently. She rather to be alone, not talking, and just mind her own business.
Her relationship with her father, Yon, decreased. She no longer brightened when she is around him. This is because she blamed her father, Yon, for everything.
She blamed Yon for chasing out, beating her master. Most of all, Medeia resent Yon because she thinks that Yon is the cause of Einar's misery.
Since that night, Einar is not acting as usual. Einar changed. Einar acted differently. Einar is no longer a cheerful man and a doting father. He completely shut himself away from people. His eyes show no emotions, and he would tremble when Yon come near him, screaming, crying as if Yon is the cause of his misery.
"Papa, I'm going out first. I will be back soon, okay?" Medeia said gently, caressing Einar's dark-greyish hair. She kissed his cheeks.
Sitting on the chair while staring at the window, Einar didn't respond to her. Ever since that night, Einar has lost his wills.
Medeia gasped gloomily. She was curious, at the same time, blaming herself.
'What happened that night? Will things change if she stayed with Einar during that night? Most of all, why did her Father hurt Uncle Rome?'
All those questions kept playing inside her mind. She wants to know the answers, but she promised her father that she would not ask for it in exchange for Romulus's life.
With a heavy heart, she left Einar all alone. She was on her way to leave but halted when Yon noticed her.
"Medeia, where are you going?" His voice was resigned.
Medeia didn't respond as she walked past her father.
Yon added, with a firm voice. "Medeia De Hay Den. I ask you, where are you going?"
Medeia stopped walking, and now she was facing her father, who is taller than her. Their same emerald green eyes met with a different aura.
Her eyes were showing coldness and resentment. His eyes were showing an unspoken pain, yet warm.
"Don't act as if you care about us, father,"
"Where did you learn to speak such a tone with your father?"
"Hah, don't make me laugh, father. Because of you, papa is like that. Including, you humiliated my master, beaten, and chased him out!"
"If you love your papa, don't bother to ask what happened that night. Because it will make both of us to lose Einar—"
Irritated, Medeia spoke harshly. "And now you are threatening us?"
Yon winced, and his expression dimmed. He was hurting when his adorable daughter, who use to be so doting on him, now treating him as if he is her enemy. How could he explain to his daughter what Romulus did to Einar? How could he tell her about that night?
Telling Medeia could only mean death for Einar. Telling anyone aside from himself will cause his people to accuse Einar despite learning the truth about the accident.
He doesn't want to put such a burden on her daughter, nor did he wants Einar to be put on trial.
But now, he is starting to lose his rationality. He indeed exhausted with the silent treatment from Einar and also from his only daughter.
