Liam explained the situation to Karis, telling her that Haidee planned to throw Medeia inside the Dark Forest. After he explained, he was given a strong blow that caused his nose to break.
Liam didn't falter, but his eyes met with the Hyacinth eyes that finally woke up.
"You don't have the right to meddle with my decision! You, a mere man, don't have the right to touch my wife!" Haidee screamed furiously, and she took the sword from Karis' hand, wanting to end Liam's life.
So much hate filled the Hyacinths' eyes that Liam felt a slight shudder run down his spine. At that moment, Liam kneeled at his feet and admitted his errors. No matter what, he was once a knight, and Haidee was the Eldest Princess. Haidee's words are absolute, and he knows that it was fair for him to let Haidee kill him.
"Princess Haidee. I was wrong. But I don't want Medeia to suffer any longer. Now that she's gone, I'd like for her to leave in peace. My... My best friend deserved that. I beg you not to hurt the dead anymore." Liam made one last plead. His heart was filled with the heavy burden that had caused his body to be weakened by such force.
Haidee only stared emotionless at Liam before she put down the sword. Her voice was devoid of emotion, but it was enough to tell Liam that she meant every word she spoke.
"Stretch your arms." Haidee's voice was hostile and raw. It caused the people around her to lower their gaze, fully aware of what she was about to do, including Karis.
Liam nodded as he presented his arms, admitting his fate. A small smile touched his lips, thinking that the sole reason for his life was to hold the sword. Now, it was the sword that would take away his arms.
'Medeia. I don't care if I lose my arms. Because what's the point of it? You are no longer here to teach me and to train with me?'
The vicious sword soon removed his arms from his body.
Haidee, who swung the sword that claimed Liam's arms, could only look at the miserable sight of Liam crawling in pain. "From now on, Sir Liam Edgar, you will be exiled from our land. Your titles will all be stripped, and you will not be showing your face in front of me unless you want your head to fall down."
She added, "Remember that the reason you're still alive is because of my wife."
Since that day, Liam left the land. He wandered alone, as a man without arms, without any spirits. He stopped at the nearby village far away from the Romulus Kingdom. Later, the village chief hired Liam as a teacher, despite being unable to use his arms.
He had no doubt that Liam was literate, despite his physical state. It was proven that the children in the village could read and write due to Liam's guidance. Because of that, Liam was loved and respected.
Until he met a clumsy young man. The dark-haired, bluish-eyed young man. For Liam, the young man was just like any other passerby who was curious about him. However, for the young man, Liam was his love at first sight. Because of that, the young man stayed in the village, striving to be with him.
The young man was actually dreaming of becoming a cook despite his gender being male. After all, in his era, no man ever cook. But he wants to. He wants to let people eat a delicious meal. But his dreams were mocked by the people in his village, causing him to leave instantly.
