-Flashback before their Wedding-
"While she has feelings for you right now, they are nothing compared to her hatred for your...blood. My Princess,"
Jada's voice is precise and stern. It is better to inform Haidee of the truth about Medeia rather than to comfort her with sweet lies that will only cause Haidee to lose her ability to make sound judgments when it comes to Medeia.
Jada is well aware that Haidee has already fallen deeply for Medeia, but that may not be the same case as Medeia.
Medeia, her cunning best friend and apprentice, was most likely behaving in a way that suggested she was the one who had been captured by Haidee. In reality, it was most likely Haidee who was entangled in Medeia's scheme.
She may fall in love with Haidee, but she will not hesitate to abandon her if and when the situation calls for it.
Despite what Jada had envisioned for them, their progress was too quick and differed from the path that their destiny had planned. For them to be together, they must pay a high price as a result.
Haidee raised a question that widened Jade awake. "Even if we have a child together?"
"What exactly do you mean? Do you want to conceive a child with her? That is not a good decision for either of you, in my opinion. At least not for the time being."
"If we are going to do that, I will obviously get pregnant. Right?"
Jada was taken aback by Haidee's brazenness and couldn't help but be concerned. She is aware that Medeia will not allow Haidee to have her child and, worse, will kill it due to her hatred for Romulus. The future chief who is supposed to avenge her people's deaths will cause Medeia to refuse Haidee's blood.
After all, Medeia was the Hay Den's last heiress. She is the Den Tribe's sole heiress, and her blood is sacred to the Den tribe.
Because only the Hay Den have the deepest emerald green eyes.
For Medeia, marrying and sharing a bed with Haidee was more than enough. The idea of allowing the heir or heiress of the Den Tribes to be conceived by an Askran, or more precisely, from Romulus' blood, does not sit well with Medeia.
At least not right now. Not with hatred still raging within Medeia's broken heart.
Jada let out a long sigh. "Obviously... But she will make certain that it does not happen..."
"Specifically, do you mean... contraceptive?"
Jada exhaled a sigh. "Contraceptive... If that's what humans say about avoiding pregnancy,"
Haidee squeezed her fists, as her eyes lowered down from meeting with Jada's eyes. Her heart was contemplating, whether if what she was going to do will benefit both Medeia and her future.
"I noticed that the Den Tribes were extremely protective of their marriage partners, especially when they were expecting a child. If that is true, Medeia, as the daughter and purest Den's blood, will not let me go if I conceive her child, no matter how badly she wants to leave,"
Haidee is aware that Jada is capable of assisting her in locking Medeia up, and that Jada is aware of Medeia's plan. Then she knelt down, her head on the ground, bowing to Jada. It's the first time she's bowed her head in front of someone.
