a.n: see u guys again! I'm sorry if this story starting to get worse :(

-Before Karis went to Qaedel Empire-

"Princess Bulan? What does it all mean?" Medeia questioned as she felt that Bulan was trying hard to untied her body. Her voice was a little low due to her bound body. Due to her extreme exhaustion, she couldn't even lift her face.

It's been a while since she last met Bulan. However, as she finally meet her again, she felt a sudden longing inside her heart.

Bulan too felt something different with Medeia. It feels as if Medeia is truly precious inside her heart. Watching Medeia in this kind of state, somehow ripped her apart. Nevertheless, the scarlet eyes only stared at her coldly. "Medeia, I gave you the chance to run away and never come back again."

"What do you mean? Are you really plotting with Romulus and Askran, and betrayed us?"

"If that's what you think, then think it that way. However, now is not the right time for us to talk about it. Please run away now before Romulus catch you!"

"Why would I run away from him? In fact, I will kill him now when I gather my strength! He, that lunatic stole Papa Einar's body with him, and I must get it back!"

Bulan fists were clenched. In fact, Qaedel was the one who plotted with Romulus. Because she has no power, she simply acts as if she is supporting Qaedel's plot. If she doesn't, she won't be able to save Medeia. Furthermore, Qaedel promised her that he would return her daughter if Bulan cooperated with him. Bulan even pretended to marry someone else in order to convince Qaedel that she had moved on from Karis.

Bulan's top priority is her daughter. She will not hesitate to betray or kill someone, even if it is a member of Karis' family, as long as she knows her daughter is safe and she will be reunited with her daughter again.

She, on the other hand, didn't have the heart to witness Medeia's death at their hands. As a result, she pretends to want to punish Medeia while pretending to despise Karis.

"I will help you, but not now. Please, go now! In meantime, I will try to find a way to retrieve him, and to punish Romulus!"

Medeia wanted to reply, but she fainted after Bulan knock her with a wooden sword.

She rushed to find Bulan the moment she opened her eyes, only to find a tall woman carrying a sword and Bulan on the ground.

Bulan was dead in Medeia's eyes, in the hand of the tall, light-haired woman.

Thump, thump, thump.

Unknown pain resurface again, as if Bulan meant something to her.

Medeia was on the verge of a mental breakdown, and her burning sword was nearly at Karis' neck at this point. The sword however only grazed Karis's eye in response to Karis's defense.

"Medeia!" Karis screamed as her left hand touched her bleeding eye, caused by the sword. The burning sword burned Karis's left eye.

Medeia remained unfazed, as she walked closer to Karis who eventually stop the fire from burning her face.

"Medeia? Is that you?" Karis said happily, despite her left eye scarred by Medeia's sword.

"Who are you?" Medeia hissed in fury. She stood guard over Bulan, who was lying cold on the ground.

"It's me! Karis! Your sister!"

"Shut up!" Medeia shouted as she rushed forward Karis, and want to kill her. Watching Bulan, covered in blood, strangely pained her.
