A soft sigh left your lips as you slowly typed in the dorm's passcode before opening the door once the soft unlock ding from the lock was heard— so you walked inside and took off your shoes before sliding into some slippers.
Yoongi was sat on the couch, listening to what you could only assume to be another amazing track he had produced for class, and when he noticed your presence he pulled down his headphones while flashing you a welcoming smile
Yoongi: Oh hey you're back! Hobi is still at dance practice- ... everything alright?
You flashed him a faint smile as you shrugged lightly, hesitating for a bit before you let a soft reply emit past your lips
Jungkook: You could say I'm a tad bit tired? I'll just go get some rest in my room for a bit hyung
He nodded understandingly and watched as you headed into your room, letting your somewhat heavy backpack gently drop onto the floor before laying down on your bed; turning up the volume to the music playing from your earphones as you eyed the plain ceiling above you— mind still busying itself replaying the events from earlier today, not really being able to put into words how you felt about it.
After all, it's one thing to tell yourself how you should feel, and a whole other when it comes to what you actually end up feeling...
You turned and laid on your side as you looked out of the big floor-to-ceiling window close to where your bed was placed, trying to distract your mind by instead focusing on the sound of the music, as well as the sight of the trees slowly swaying with the wind— light raindrops softly coming down from the sky which painted everything in a glossy wet coating that gently reflected all the lights from the busy street lamps and signs below
Time seemed to almost fly by as you quite frankly lost track of how long you had been laying there; it wasn't until a soft knock was heard on your already opened door that you snapped out of your daze and sat up, removing your earphones as you saw Hobi leaning against the doorframe
Jungkook: Oh- Hobi hyung, you're home!
Hoseok flashed you a warm smile as he held up a bag containing three takeaway boxes from what you had discovered to be your favorite restaurant
Hoseok: Hungry? I bought us food for board game night!
A soft giggle left your lips as you nodded slowly whilst watching how Hoseok slowly walked over to you, wordlessly asking if it was okay to sit down— and only doing so when you scooted over and signaled it was okay
Hoseok: Everything alright Ggukie? Yoongi said you looked a little down when you got home, did something happen?
You rubbed your nape timidly whilst letting another soft sigh escape past your lips; voice hushed as you hesitantly spoke up
Jungkook: Nothing bad happened... I'm just not quite sure if I'm ready to say it yet though hyung...
He nodded understandingly before gently pulling you up with him, flashing you another encouraging smile as he hummed
Hoseok: Well there's nothing better to brighten a bad day than some delicious food and a fun game night with your best buddies, that'll be sure to ease any sadness bubbling in your chest
As he said that, he playfully poked your chest which earned a genuine warm laugh out of you whilst you nodded in agreement
Jungkook: You're right hyung, let's go before the food gets cold!

The three of you ended up enjoying your food whilst watching a new episode from a TV series you had ended up discovering together not too long ago— and were all now keeping yourselves busy by playing some of your shared favorite board games; somewhat loud laughter echoing inside the dorm which slowly managed to calm down a bit as the round eventually came to its end, and so Hoseok then proceeded to reach for the new board game that none of you had played before.
You had been too caught up having fun with your friends to fully realize that the new game might bring some confusing issues your way in regards to how focused the game was on different colors— and when you kept on making strange errors such as grabbing the wrong colored pawn or card, or moving to the wrong colored box, that your friends began to frown in confusion
Yoongi: Jungkook-ah are you sure you're okay? You keep getting everything mixed up?
The smile which previously had painted your lips began to slowly fade whilst your fists anxiously tightened around the fabric of your shirt; nervously trying to swallow the uncomfortable lump in your throat as a tidal wave of fear washed over you— hating the thought- and likely possibility of losing the only two friends you had if they found out what you were.
However, there was no way for your to make up a white lie around this matter any longer— and even if there was, deep down you knew you shouldn't. You had to tell them the truth now, because if they were to find out from someone else, then it would undoubtedly have a far more terrifying outcome.
Heck you didn't even realize how your eyes began to well up with tears until you raised your head to look at your hyungs, only to see their expressions immediately become alarmed and worried at the sight of silent tears rolling down your cheeks
A shaky breath left your lips before you finally mustered up the courage to whisper out a soft ''I c-can't see colors...'' before shamefully lowering your head once again; dreading to face their reactions— a suffocating silence surrounding you all as they briefly shared puzzeled glances with each other before looking back over at you
Yoongi: So... You're colorblind? Ggukkie why are you so scared to tell us that silly?
Hoseok: What type of colorblindness do you have, red-green, blue-yellow? You could've just told us so, why were you so worried about that silly
You slowly shook your head as you kept your gaze lowered, realizing they seemed to have misunderstood you completely just now before finally mumbling out a hesitant clarification
Jungkook: No... Hyung, I'm a mono
Another suffocating silence filled the room for a bit longer this time as you tried to hide your trembling hands; feeling terrified that this was all going to turn out the same way it had back at your old university— except in this scenario you had actually made some genuinely close friends, which only made it even more painful
Jungkook: I'm s-sorry... I should've told you guys sooner I just...
However, when both Yoongi and Hoseok suddenly got out of their seats and pulled you into a comforting group hug, your eyes widened in surprise and utter disbelief
Hoseok: Oh my god Jungkook-ah we were worried because we thought something was horribly wrong, you scared us there!
Yoongi: Gguk you could've just told us silly! You must've had such a hard time whenever it was your turn to do laundry and you had to separate the colorful clothes from the rest!
Hoseok nodded in agreement as he added in a few other examples that might've been difficult for you without them even knowing; chuckling softly as he flashed you an apologetic smile whilst you just blinked in confusion— still unable to really process their reactions to what you had thought to be devastating news
Jungkook: W-wait but-... Aren't you guys mad or uncomfortable hanging around me now...?
You looked at them with your big doe eyes; watching how they instantly shook their heads in surprise to your remark— Yoongi gently reaching over to ruffle hair as he spoke softly
Yoongi: What, no of course not! Why would you think we'd feel that way?
