【 Jungkook 】

As Sunday eventually rolled around the corner, so did the so-called movie date— and you now found yourself stood inside the mall's cinema, anxiously holding on to the movie tickets whilst Mingyu had gone off to buy some popcorn and drinks for you both; it would be a lie if you said you weren't excited to see the movie, however, you undeniably couldn't help but feel rather bummed out since you wished the person accompanying you would've been Taehyung instead of Mingyu.

But you promised to give it an honest try, and that's a promise you intended to keep; just because you got your feelings hurt, doesn't mean you should hurt others...

You were soon snapped out of your thoughts once Mingyu eventually returned and gently nudged your shoulder— giving you the popcorn he had bought whilst uttering out a cheerful ''Let's go in?'' and flashing you a playful grin, to which you smiled lightly whilst silently nodding in agreement, following him into the movie theater where you searched for your seats

Once the two of you got seated, Mingyu proceeded to grab the drinks out of their carton holder before handing one over to you whilst mentioning how he wasn't sure what to pick out of the different options they had but settled on this one, though his voice seemed to grow muffled as you eyed the mentioned blue raspberry slushy in your hand— mind trailing back to the memories from when you and your friends had gone to the movies, and how you and Taehyung both had gotten slushies together that time; only to end up sneaking out of the movie theater together to bicker about how he wanted to taste your slushy, and then you ended up—

Mingyu: Jungkook-ah, is there something wrong? As I said, I wasn't sure what to get so if you don't like this flavor then you can switch with mine—

You shook your head immediately before letting a sheepish smile tug at your lips, feeling bad that you accidentally had spaced out on him like that and even more apologetic knowing your mind just trailed off to a memory which it absolutely shouldn't have at this moment

Jungkook: N-no I like blue raspberry, thank you Mingyu-ah!

A content smile painted his lips as he ruffled your hair lightly whilst whispering out a soft ''That's a relief then'' before turning his focus over to the big movie screen while the light gradually began to dim, signaling that the movie would begin to play any minute now...

| Later...

After the movie had come to an end, you and Mingyu made your way out of the theater together whilst making sure to throw away the empty popcorn bucket and drink cups from earlier on your way out

Mingyu: I really liked the storyline for this movie, I was worried it'd be too unoriginal and predictable, but I was pleasantly surprised!

A smile painted your lips as you nodded in agreement, though admittedly you hadn't been able to focus on nor even enjoy the movie as much as you originally wanted to— yet you still hummed softly in agreement whilst responding to him just as enthusiastically, feeling glad that he at least had a good time and enjoyed it

Jungkook: Right? Oh and I especially liked the ending! Everything tied together so nicely and you could tell they put great effort into all the details in the scenes, I also liked the way the red jewel on the ring—

Though before you could finish your sentence, Mingyu suddenly broke into a soft fit of laughter which made you nervously halt your words

Mingyu: You meant the blue jewel, right Gguk?

The male then raised a questioning eyebrow at you as if waiting for confirmation, so you awkwardly giggled whilst timidly nodding— rubbing the back of your nape lightly as you mentally cursed at yourself for having guessed the wrong color of such an important detail
