As a new semester eventually rolled around the corner accompanied by a brand new class schedule, your extra credits course also officially began— bringing a mixture of excitement yet also a somewhat nerve-wracking feeling, all at the same time; nonetheless, despite certain worries which lie ahead, you still had high hopes of being able to learn a lot during this course.
Upon entering the art studio, you quickly noticed how most of the seats already were occupied by other students within the art major, however, after spotting an empty seat in the corner you quietly scurried over there and began preparing your workstation as much as you could whilst waiting for the lecture to begin— and it wasn't long before the professor entered the studio, immediately starting it off by checking the attendance before moving on to the topic of today's lecture topic and its assignment.
Professor: Alright attention everyone! Since this is the first class of this semester and we have a couple of new students among us, you are free to use whatever art style and medium you wish today. By the end of today's lecture, I want all of you to have created something which has emotional worth— I'll be giving a couple of examples, though I expect all of you to create your own unique ones.
Once she was done presenting the prompt for today's project as well as showing a couple of different examples, you all began working on the project in your individual ways; some taking their time to plan, while some headed straight to gather the mediums they wanted before diving right into creating their ideas for this project— and admittedly you may belong to the latter group, given how you immediately thought of a word and feeling which you wanted to portray through a painting after having heard the professors prompt. So you swiftly picked up your pencil before carefully starting to sketch out a faint outline onto your canvas which you could build your work on. And once you eventually were pleased with the look of the sketch, you swiftly got up and gathered yourself some charcoal pencils and soft pastels, as well as some fixative spray and other mediums which you'd need, before heading back to your seat to begin making your idea fully come to life.

After a little over an hour of hard and detailed work, your project was finally completed as you took a step back from it to analyze the final product; it may have been arguably simplistic at first glance, though you personally felt a strong sense of relation to its image displaying two hands, one reaching out for the other whilst the other hand seems to be slowly retrieving and evaporating into thin air.
You bowed respectfully as the professor passed by and stopped to have a look at your artwork, a surprised yet amused look painting over her facial features while she silently analyzed it for some time before finally turning towards you with a warm smile
Professor: You're one of our new students, could you remind me of your name and then tell me a little about your project today?
Jungkook: Yes that's correct ma'am, my name is Jeon Jungkook and I thought of the words ''Estrangement and unbelonging'' whilst creating this today. I wanted to display what it's like being in the presence of someone you know well, yet being treated like a total stranger by them.
Her smile only grew warmer as she nodded in approval whilst once again looking back at your work in admiration
Professor: You've done a great job representing that feeling through your work today, and I am really impressed with your skill and technique. I was however surprised with your random choices of color here and there, though your execution managed to make it look rather elegant— just keep in mind to not get too daring with it in the future, as things like these can get messy.
