【 Jungkook 】

Once the call ended, another heavy sigh left your lips as you put your phone along with the movie tickets back into your pocket— only to raise your head whilst looking around in mild confusion as you wiped your tears away slowly

Jungkook: Shit... where am I?

— So much for wanting to get away from the university huh?

After having mindlessly walked wherever your feet lead you for god knows how long, you now found yourself standing in the middle of an unfamiliar neighborhood not even knowing which direction you had come from in the first place; all though you tried to guess your way back to a more familiar street, you soon had to accept the fact that you were lost and pulled out your phone once more to get rescue from your trusted navigation app— if it weren't for these trusted apps then you sure would have been screwed.

So after about half an hour of walking and navigating through unfamiliar neighborhoods, you eventually got back to a much more familiar street which soon lead you right to the dormitory building, and you tiredly made your way up to the dorm with heavy steps before slowly typing in the door code to unlock it— immediately being greeted by a frantic and worried trio whom rushed up to you, simultaneously sighing in relief as they saw you were back home and seemingly fine

Jimin: Jungkook-ah you had us worried sick!

Hoseok: Our calls wouldn't go through, and no one had seen or heard anything from you either!

An apologetic smile spread across your lips as you looked up at them, slowly holding up your phone which had run out of battery whilst scratching the back of your head lightly

Jungkook: Sorry, I went for a walk and lost track of time- and my surroundings... My phone ran out of battery when I was using it to navigate back home

Yoongi suddenly pulled you into a comforting hug as he sighed softly, mumbling out a reassuring ''As long as you're safe, just don't scare us again Gguk''

This earned a more genuine smile from you as you nodded slowly, huffing as he pulled away from the hug and ruffled your hair

Jungkook: Of course I'm safe, it takes more to break me than this hyung...

Jimin: I swear that idiot, I'll have a talk with him tomorrow Jungkook-ah so just-

You swiftly shook your head at Jimin before patting his shoulder reassuringly, your smile turning back to a melancholy one as you spoke oh so softly

Jungkook: Jimin-ah please don't, it's okay. He didn't do anything wrong, there's really nothing more to be said about this...

A frustrated sigh left Jimin's lips as you all headed into the living room to sit down, and they all eyed you sadly as Jimin tried to argue back

Jimin: But Gguk—

Jungkook: —We were nothing more than friends who occasionally hooked up, or well that's all that we agreed to be... I was the one who foolishly developed feelings for someone bound to leave eventually, he doesn't owe anything to me.

There was a brief pause as you blinked away any tears threatening to sting your eyes before continuing, the sad smile on your lips still painfully present on your lips as you spoke

Jungkook: That's not to say it doesn't sting, b-because of course it does. But this too shall pass, because I'm happy as long as I don't lose him as a friend, which was my ultimate fear.

They all just silently watched you in dismay, almost looking more defeated than you did which was quite funny given the circumstances

Hoseok: ...You could still ask him to come with you to the movies though?

You let out a breathy giggle as you shook your head slowly, getting up to go fetch yourself something to drink from the kitchen as you spoke in a determined manner

Jungkook: No way, I'm not trying to get slaughtered by Haewon again. Besides, I think I'm allowed to be petty enough to not give him a free movie ticket right?

Yoongi nodded and showed you a thumbs up in approval whilst the two others just snickered at your remark

Jimin: That's fair Gguk, though it is a waste of a movie ticket

A soft hum left your lips as you shrugged whilst taking out a banana milk carton from the fridge, poking the little straw into it before taking a sip out of the delightful drink

Jungkook: Well it won't be wasted since I'm going with Mingyu instead— it won't be the same of course, but better than two wasted tickets thrown in the trashbin at least

Once you turned around to face your hyungs again, you were instantly greeted by three faces staring at you in a mixture of surprise and confusion, clearly not expecting to hear that

Yoongi: Wait hold on, Mingyu? As in the guy from your major, Kim Mingyu?

Hoseok: Since when did you-

You blinked dumbfoundedly as you gulped down the sweet liquid, shrugging once more whilst leaning against the kitchen counter

Jungkook: Well it's complicated— earlier today we had a small chat after he accidentally saw the movie tickets, and he suggested I call him in case I need a new date. So after what happened later on I just... Ended up calling him asking if his offer was still up? 

The curious eyes didn't ease after your reply, rather they just got even more surprised whilst Yoongi huffed acting a little offended

Yoongi: You're telling me you called him but not us? Ouch

To which you just flashed him an apologetic smile whilst whispering out a soft ''Hyung...'' that he just chuckled at

Jimin: So wait— you and Mingyu are going on a date instead then?

You widened your eyes and defensively raised your hands whilst shaking your head in denial, faintly squeaking out a surprised reply at the assumption

Jungkook: No, not a date!— or well I don't know...? I reminded him that I have feelings for someone else, but he just told me to try and see how it feels

Hoseok: Oh wow really now— so it is sort of a date then?!

Even though you opened your mouth to argue against it, you slowly shut it just as fast since you admittedly also felt a bit confused about what to call it. Nonetheless, you shrugged once more and finished your drink before throwing the small cup and straw away

Jungkook: It's two people going to a movie together instead of wasting already purchased movie tickets...

Yoongi: Whatever you prefer calling it Gguk.
