【 Jungkook 】

Once you finally began to gradually flutter your heavy eyelids open, you found yourself in what you could only recognize to be the university's infirmary. And so a soft hum left your lips as you slowly sat up in your bed, gaze trailing over to the open window next to you which made the curtain sway oh so gracefully while letting in some cool fresh air

The disarray of what only felt like mere seconds ago being stood inside the lecture hall arguing with Taehyung, to suddenly opening your eyes in the infirmary momentarily made your head spin from confusion as you softly mumbled to yourself

Jungkook: Guess I fainted...

It wasn't long before the sound of the infirmary's door sliding open could be heard, and soon after your friends slid the privacy curtain next to your bed open, immediately smiling brightly as they saw you had woken up whilst holding up a bowl of takeaway food

Hoseok: Oh perfect you're awake! The nurse is out for lunch break but we brought our dearest Ggukke some congee!

You nodded slowly and flashed them a soft smile, whilst Yoongi walked closer and gently put his hand on your forehead to feel your temp

Jungkook: What happened?

Hoseok: You fainted as you were bickering with Taehyung. Aside from the fever, the nurse said you likely fainted due to exhaustion and slight dehydration, hence why you're connected to an IV drip right now that you need to finish.

Yoongi smiled in relief as he removed his hand from your forehead and nodded at Hoseok, gently patting your back as he spoke

Yoongi: Well the good news is, his fever has gone down a lot

A soft sigh left your lips as you scratched the back of your head, feeling the scolding yet worried looks that were being burned into you right now by your friends

Jungkook: I thought I'd be fine, my plan was to just push through today and then take medicine and rest once I got back home

Hoseok gently ruffled your hair as he shook his head in disapproval

Hoseok: Well that clearly wasn't a good idea, now was it Gguk?

Yoongi: Hobi is right Ggukkie, you need to take care of yourself better silly. I know the assignment was important to you, but you shouldn't play with your health.

Jungkook: I know... Sorry hyung

They both chuckled softly before pulling you into a warm group hug, playfully ruffling your hair and gently poking at you making a giggle escape your lips

Hoseok: Alright you better eat the congee before it gets cold, the nurse left some medication to us which you need to take after you've eaten

You nodded slowly and flashed them a warm smile—watching in admiration whenever they would help you in any way they possibly could, making you feel incredibly grateful for the comfort and safety they provided you with

| 2 weeks later...

A two days one night field trip ended up being arranged by three of the main professors for your major, and this was a trip you came to know was held annually to help all students get a change of scenery which hopefully would help bring some new inspiration for personal projects and growth.

Not only that, it was supposedly a great way to get to know your juniors and seniors too, as games and events were always held at night for everyone to join in on.

Considering how you had never gone on a field trip at your old Uni, you were admittedly quite excited to participate in this one to see just what exciting views and memories that await you; so once you found the bus you had been assigned to, you swiftly loaded your suitcase into the busses storage unit before getting on— slowly walking down the rows of seats until you found an empty one in the back which you now occupied.

The soft tunes of your favorite songs played in your earphones as you eyed the view seen from the window next to you whilst patiently waiting for the role-call to start, but that oh-so calm and relaxing moment unfortunately didn't seem to last for too long as none other than the Kim Taehyung himself plopped down into the seat next to yours

This of course immediately earned an uncomfortable sigh out of you as you glanced over at him with a raised eyebrow, mumbling out a soft yet mildly annoyed ''Out of all the seats, why does it have to be this one Kim?''— to which he rolled his eyes and leaned back in the seat with his arms crossed, closing his eyes whilst mumbling out an equally- if not more even more annoyed response

Taehyung: Don't make it sound like I have a choice Jeon, all the other seats are taken. Though if you'd be my guest and stand up or sit on the floor for this bus trip then that would be fantastic.

You couldn't help but snort softly as you sat perfectly stationed in your own seat whilst rolling your eyes, purposely keeping your gaze stationed to whatever was happening outside of the window rather than inside

Jungkook: I sat here first Kim, so rather be my guest and follow your own suggestions or shut up.

Needless to say, the two-hour bus ride to your destination would end up being far more suffocating than the originally peaceful one you had hoped and envisioned previously, and all you could hope for was that the trip back home tomorrow would be different.

| Later...

After having checked in and dropped off your luggage at the place you'd be staying at, you were then all briefed about the assignment you were supposed to work on during this trip before finally being given time to walk around freely to get started, and so that's how you ended up spending the rest of the day as you walked around exploring the beautiful surroundings whilst of course also taking pictures for the assignment.

Time seemed to flow oh so quickly whilst exploring, and soon enough the sky was already painted in dark sunset colors to signal the day was slowly coming to an end.

And the day coming to an end of course meant that the group activities began, as you were all now gathered to have dinner and play various types of games whilst sharing drinks together with classmates.

You smiled softly and respectfully held your glass as a sunbae poured you yet another drink which you then swiftly downed before letting your gaze trail over to the quite tipsy juniors and seniors singing karaoke together up on the small stage— the atmosphere was fun and you felt giddy after actually having been able to talk to a lot of your classmates, something you never were able to do in the past.

After having a couple more drinks you eventually ended up excusing yourself from the group to go outside to get some fresh air, finally starting to feel a tad bit tipsy as the alcohol seemed to be getting to you; so the fresh air surely felt like a nice break in contrast to the stuffy air inside.

A warm smile painted your lips as you inhaled the slightly humid and chilly night air while glancing up at the stars, mumbling a soft ''It's so pretty...'' under your breath before deciding to take a brief stroll at the forest path you had walked on earlier today— hoping it'd help you sober up a little bit

The sound of the music and laughter slowly began to die down the further you ventured into the forest; instead being replaced by the calming sounds of birds chirping and the tree branches and their leaves softly swaying to the wind.

Though as the path became more and more unfamiliar, you couldn't help but sigh as you realized you must've accidentally taken the wrong turn and followed the wrong colored ribbons.

Jungkook: Fuck, just my luck huh... I was so sure this path was the one with the lighter-colored ribbons, guess the darkness really plays tricks on eyes that can't see colors...
