people think i'm lucky to be friends with james potter, sirius black, remus lupin and peter pettigrew when it's really the opposite. anyone would kill to be in my position, friends with the popular boys who have fun and constantly break rules, however in 1st year i became friends with two slytherins (lucius malfoy and serverus snape) and i had to watch as my "friends" bullied severus, my bestfriend.

it all started on the train to hogwarts in my first year, i was so nervous walking down the isle trying to find an empty compartment, i saw a couple of 6th years walking towards me and i was desperate to get out of their way before they could push me or hurt me so i went into the first compartment i saw. there sat two boys one with her black hair and one with bright blonde hair. "can we help you?" the one with black hair spoke, "i- yeah i'm sorry it's just there's no empty compartments an-" i stuttered "take a seat" the blonde boy interrupted as he patted the door next to him a wide smile on his face. the two boys, who i later learned were severus and lucius, and i talked and laughed for the entire train ride, however when we were being sorted into our house they were both put in slytherin and i in gryffindor. we promised to remain friends and we have been for years, although i have to keep my friendship a secret from my gryffindor friends in case of being judged, ditched and left with no friends.

it was in third year when lucius asked me to be his girlfriend, we had grew incredibly close and he had admitted he was infatuated with me and that he couldn't imagine his life without me in it being his girlfriend, severus was beyond happy for us and promised to help keep out relationship a secret. having a slytherin boyfriend came with its difficulties, more than just being friends with the two. it was torture keeping lucius a secret but he knew it was the right decision no matter how much it pained both of us. it was now fifth year and i was starting to get quiet annoyed with potter and his cronies, they made severus a regular victim of their "pranks".

i was stood in a hallway with the boys outside potions, unknowing to me they were waiting for severus. he came out of the classroom and black grabbed him by the arm and started to push him between his friends, round and round and round severus was pushed until he threw up, "this is their idea of a prank" i muttered i was infuriated. everyone was laughing so i took it as my opportunity to apologise to severus without anyone seeing, he nodded showing he understands there was nothing i could do before running off. "did you see that Y/N that was hilarious" peter managed to get out between laughs "yeah hilarious" i stated in the most mono tone voice possible before excusing myself. the boys looked very confused but honeslty i didnt care i'd had enough of them bullying my bestfriend right in front of me.

i eventually found lucius and severus in the courtyard "hey sev i'm so sorry you know there's nothing i can do" "it's not your fault Y/N" severus replied looking very dull, "don't blame yourself darling" lucius said standing up and hugging me. "i'm just annoyed, i'm fed up of their antics and their bullying, and everyone loves it and encourages them it just enrages me" i mumble into lucius' chest still clutching onto him, he was trying to sooth my by gently stroking my arm.

"Y/N?" shit it was james "what do you want" i said turning around completely exhausted by their behaviour. "we want an explanation" said sirius through gritted teeth, "i've had enough of you, all of you" "Y/N stop" lucius said trying to calm me down. "no let me say it love" "LOVE?" remus shouted "YES 'LOVE' " i replied, "i've been best friends with severus since first year and i am sick of the way you treat him youre all pathetic, and as for lucius he's been my boyfriend for two years now if you can't accept that then fine your friendship means nothing to me anyway" "don't you dare speak to us again" james spat before stomping away. "i'm so proud of you love i really am" lucius said while picking me up and spinning me around, i squealed, he placed a soft kiss to my lips how ever that was interrupted when severus jumped up smiling a huge smile and joined the hug.

from then on i forgot about my old friends and i had never been happier, i spent my next two years at hogwarts with my bestest friend in the entire world severus and my boyfriend lucius, not hiding out relationship, not presenting to not like eachother, just us being us.
