After the incident with Hyunjin, a rumor was spread that Soobin had only involved with the fight because the blondie had tried to verbally and sexually assault his pinked hair lover. Probably a rumor that was passed on by some of the people that witnessed the commotion on that day. And so hyunjin was said to be suspended for a while by his own university. Yeonjun couldn't care less about it though, as long as his soobin can be safe from punishments or charges.
With rumors spreading like wildfire, people also started gossiping about how soobin was too protective of his lover, how possessive and blah blah. But yeonjun knows doesn't he? The anger that erupted from soobin before was more likely to be caused by the blond boy mentioning his real love.
Love, the only word that soobin would use it on the boy with big chocolate eyes.
Maybe it could be too undeserving but Yeonjun would love to hear it once, directed at him from Soobin's mouth itself. Maybe just once, even if latter doesn't actually mean it. How being cherished felt like for once.. is it too much to ask though?
As usual, his burns could only be locked inside - overshadowed by pained sighs like every other time. He's the stronger one after all.
Maybe it's just him, the question marks inside his head, always silently asking to be answered. And he did. However, they were not enough, not unimpeachable and yeonjun had no idea why.
It was September 13, Yeonjun's birthday.
Yeonjun had not celebrated birthdays ever since his mom passed away. He honestly had lost interest to even acknowledge his birth date let alone making it special.
Why would he celebrate ?
There's no one to even spend the day anyways, though his aunt overseas send the boy extra money so that he could buy himself a gift plus Jungkook and his doctor Kim had always given small gifts and birthday wishes. But that aside, yeonjun believed that the idea of birthday is cruel and meaningless, when he no longer has a mom beside, the one who gave him life.
So when yeonjun's birthday came around, he doesn't spare any of his time to even think about it. Soobin probably won't remember it too, he assumed.
Thus, when Soobin took him out for an art cafe date as a birthday gift, yeonjun had been overly ecstatic.
