Mind time and clock time, they are two different things, shifting at different rates depending on our perception of the activities we engaged daily. Yeonjun couldn't even comprehend that it's already been a year, a year since Soobin has became his. Time seems to flow slowly when you are lost in your own perspective, your own constant state of mind.
Nothing much had changed in their relationship too. Soobin's the same, always pushing and pulling, like a magnet that's malfunctioning when in reality magnets don't malfunction at all. It's still unclear to Yeonjun, but he won't question.
Maybe he's a little bit too obsessed? But it's not like he can do anything about that- the way his heart or body reacts to the younger boy, the way Soobin's the only one who can console his hurt even if he's the one who may has caused them.
It was finally their anniversary day.
Yeonjun was feeling jittery and hyped up with fluttery thoughts on the upcoming night date at a fancy restaurant that soobin has promised him the day before. Both agreed on not buying gifts for each other since they have been doing that occasionally throughout their relationship anyways.
Soobin has already bought him clothes , bags, shoes and accessories more than he could ever spent on himself even. It was unclear why his lover did those- like handing him the packages at random times. Soobin is just very random like that.
Maybe he will show up with flowers after his soccer practice?? And took yeonjun to an elegant restaurant that he reserved privately just for the two of them?? And maybe some violinist would popped up while they eat, just like in the iconic rom-com movies. A romantic atmosphere would be nice, yeonjun thought. Soobin can be gentle and caring at times but man's not a guy with very romantic vibe laced with sweet words, even though he sure is touchy physically. Yeonjun can only day dream about that made-up idea of his lover.
"That will be 2,5000 won"
Yeonjun took the box of customized vanilla cheese cake from the charming cashier's hand and handed the payment.
Vanilla, since it was soobin's favorite flavor.
The little cake was decorated with berries, a few frostings surrounding them and the "happy one year anniversary" was written in the middle with what seems to be a blueberry jam. It looked soft and rich with cream cheese, based with a mixed of butter with crackers. Yeonjun was pleased with the creation.
Humming some melodies that don't even exist, yeonjun stepped inside their apartment. He placed the little cake on the dining table before squeezing his eyes to glanced at the clock that was hanged above the flat tv of their living room.
It's 4:15 pm. Enough time to take a shower, put on make up and dress himself pretty for their date night.
For the appearance, yeonjun curled his hair a bit with the curling iron, clipped the side bangs with pink sparkly hair clip that matched with the hue of his hair. He then put on his signature ear rings and for the make up, he went for a natural make up look, toning down the color for eyeshadows and lipstick.
Lastly for the outfit, he wore a white turtle neck inside his yellow oversized sweater with the front side tucked into the wide legged jeans. Yeonjun looked perfect with his long legs adorning the whole look. He beamed, satisfied at the reflection on the mirror. Now he just need to sit and be pretty while waiting for soobin .
