Your POV.

It has been two months since Liam asked me to be his girlfriend. Things have been going great, well, with our families at least. Our families approve and enjoy spending time with us. I've grown closer to Liam's family, especially his sister, Ruth. We talk every day, sometimes joking around how they all knew he'd ask me out eventually. My family has grown to love Liam and they talk as if they've known each other their whole lives.

Honestly, everything with that is amazing, it comes naturally. But, the thing that doesn't come easy is school. There are some people - Kelsie - who do not enjoy the sight of Liam and my entwined hands, or just the general idea of a "(Y/N) and Liam". There are a few random groups of people who give me an occasional glare or of the eyes, but most of it comes directly from the bitch herself. She will always try to trip me or talk behind my back in the halls. She knows that I notice, making it worse. She is continuing to try and make my life a living hell, when it has already been enough before Liam came along. Why can't everyone just move on with their lives and stop focusing on me?

I lean against the black table, waiting for Liam. Fortunately, we had been able to keep our seats for the whole year. I look at the door for the tenth time in two minutes. Slowly my classmates emerge into the classroom and sink into their seats. I glance up at the clock mounted on the center of the wall, seeing it was only two minutes before the bell rang. I sigh and sit down in my seat, deciding to wait for my boyfriend sitting down would make it less annoying. More people drift into the room, filling the room with more noise. Conversations grow in sound and start up as a new kid appears. I keep silent, looking down at my unit packet, silently praying Liam would hurry up. Just as I am about to take out my pencil, someone slides into the seat next to me. I look up as I set my pencil onto the table, seeing who it was. "Hey, you're late," I say, sighing again. "I'm sorry, I had to drop off my application to the office and my locker was being a pain in the ass," he explains, taking out his binder and pencil. "It's alright, just tell me next time." "I will, I'm sorry, again." I don't answer, instead looking at the front of the room to see our teacher beginning class.

"Okay class, today we will be starting our final unit." A few random cheers rise from the room. "Since we have done all of the major systems of the human body, this unit will be a little different. This unit is not a real unit, it's more like a long assignment. It will be graded like a project, so I would just assume it's a project that takes a few weeks to accomplish," our teachers continues. "It will take much research and organizing. You may use any presentation program such as Google Drive, Prezi, Microsoft Presentations, et cetera."

"Can we work with partners?" A boy across the room asks, breaking the silence. "I was getting to that," our teacher says, nodding his head and cracking a small smile. "This assignment, project, whatever it may be, will be with a partner or individual. It is your choice rather or not you work alone. The only thing you may not choose is the topic, which you will draw from a hat in just a minute." A few groans pop up around the classroom. "With that, I will pass out the requirements," he goes to his desk and starts handing out a sheet of paper.

"Want to be my partner?" Liam whispers in my ear, grinning. I grin back, quietly laughing. "I guess I should be, you may need a little help," I joke. "Hey," he gently bumps into me, "I'm pretty smart." "Hmm, we'll see," I laugh again. A smile forms on his lips, telling me it was a plan. Our teacher reaches our table, handing both of us a paper. "Will you two be partners?" He asks. "Yes," Liam says, smiling. "Okay," the teacher nods, writing something down on another paper. He walks away, continuing to pass out the paper.

"Let's hope we get a good one," Liam says, breaking the silence between us. "Don't jinx it, Li," I laugh once again. "Oh babe, I would never jinx it," he raises his eyebrows, giving me an amused look. "We'll see about that," I smile. "Oh, we will, baby, we will."
