Your POV
After Harry leaves, Liam looks at me and smiles. "Ready to finish the project?" "Yeah. Is it alright I finish my other homework afterwards?" "Sure, what is it?" "I just have to do the rest of my math homework." "What math are you in?" "Physics and statistics, but the homework is in stats," I answer. He nods and says, "I'm in stats too, and I'm not sure how to do the homework." "We can work on it together, if you want?" I shrug. "That would be helpful, thanks," he smiles and heads back to the living room. "No problem," I say, following him back to the couch.

We were 98% done with the project, we just had to put our names on it and come up with a way to keep it safe. I grab my pen and sign my name, putting first hour underneath it. Liam grabs his pen and puts him name above mine. After that's done, he suggests for us to carefully roll up the paper and put a rubber band around it. I do that and look back at him. "Ready for stats?" "Actually, my dad is at his friend's and spending the night, but my mom is coming home soon. She will want us to eat right away." "Oh, okay..." "Yeah, and she's been dying to meet you," he says, looking from me to the project on the coffee table. "Why's that?" He looks up at me," Probably because she knows- never mind," he laughs nervously, scratching his neck.

"Liam..." I continue to stare at him, "What's wrong?" "Are you going to the game tomorrow?" He asks, trying to change the subject. "Liam, don't change the subject, please tell me." He looks up at me. "Okay...," he takes a deep breath and let's it out, "She knows how I feel... About you," he looks up at me. I gasp, "She knows what?" "She knows," he stands up, crouching down in front of me, "about you and how I feel about you, (Y/N)."

"What does she know about me?" My heart was racing. How he felt about me? What did that mean? "She heard about how I stopped Kelsie on Saturday and how I was your partner for the project, and how it was all on the same girl she heard about before-"
"Wait, before?" "Yeah, I've talked about you before," he shrugs. "You have?" "Yeah, I'm pretty close with my mom and after sometime, she found out." "Oh..." "Yeah," he looks at his phone and then sets it back down, "It's already 6:35, my mom should be home in ten minutes-" We hear a noise and the front door opens, revealing a shorter woman with almost shoulder length blonde hair.

"Oh, hey Mom...," Liam says, standing up and looking at the woman. I didn't know what to do, so I stay where I am and remain quiet. The woman smiles and walks over to the couch, taking off her jacket. "Hey Liam, is this (Y/N)?" "Yeah," Liam smiles. His mom looks over at me and smiles, "Hello, I'm Liam's mom, Karen." "Hi, I'm (Y/N)," I smile back, receiving a look of relief from Liam. "Are you kids having fun?" "We just finished our project," Liam tells her, glancing back at me and then looks at her. "Good," Karen smiles, "I'll make dinner right now. I just have to bake what I made this morning." "What did you make?" Liam asks. "I made some pizza and have to bake it. It'll only take twenty minutes." She looks at me and sighs, "I'm sorry it's nothing special." "No, it's okay, I never have something fancy for dinner anyways." She nods, going into the kitchen. Liam walks over and sits next to me.

"Do you want to stay for dinner then? I think my mom is planning on it." "I guess I should, I don't want to be rude, and as you said, she's planning on it." "So, are you coming tomorrow? You didn't give me your answer yet." "Yeah, I'll go," I grin. "Really?" His eyes light up. "Yeah," I smile. "That would be great. Do you want to wear my other jersey, the one for away games?" "Are you sure?" Was he actually offering me to wear his jersey? This couldn't be happening... But somehow it was. "Yeah, I am." "Then I would love to." We both smile and Liam grabs the TV remote, turning the TV on.

Liam and I were currently watching some show when his mom calls us in for dinner. Liam grabs the remote and turns the TV off, setting it back down on the table. "Ready?" He asks me, giving me a grin. "Yeah," I say, standing up and grin back. We head into the kitchen and find Karen had set up three plates and set the pizza in the middle of the table. We sit down at the table and wait for Liam's mom. She sits down at the table a minute later, handing each of us a glass of water. "Thank you," Liam and I say at the same time. We look at each other and grin. His mom notices, and says, "You two are so cute." I avoid eye contact with both Liam and his mom. I knew he would be looking anywhere but at us.

Dinner was going well. Karen had been asking me small questions about myself like where I live, where I plan on going to college, how my family life is, etc. She smiles and nods at my responses, usually commenting good things along the way. Liam grabs his third slice of pizza, causing me to laugh. "What?" He asks, laughing too. "You're a very hungry boy tonight," I laugh again. "Well I have a big game tomorrow night, so I better eat up." That makes me roll my eyes while laughing once again. "You're weird." "Nah, I'm sexy." That's when both of us remember Karen across the table. Liam and I both look at her and then each other, shutting up and awkwardly eating. She laughs, saying, "Oh Liam, you're such a character. (Y/N), are you going to the game tomorrow night?" She smiles. I take a sip of my water and grin, "I am." "And she's wearing my away jersey," Liam adds, taking another bite of food. "Stoooop," I say, lightly pushing him. He shallows and laughs, "Rude," "Nah." I look down at my plate and decide I was full. "Mrs. Payne, I think I'm finished." "Okay dear, you can put that in the sink." I get up and set my plate in the sink, and put my cup on top of the plate. Liam looks back at me and then takes another bite of food. I decide to not be awkward and head back into the living room. "I'll be in here," I tell them. "Okay!" Karen calls back as I sit down on the couch, opening up my stats.

Liam's POV
My mom looks at me, giving me a look. "What?" I ask, taking another bite. "Hurry up and finish, and go talk to her." "Right," I get what she means and take the final bite. Taking a sip of water, I get up and put my plate and glass in the sink. "Bye Mom," I head to the other room. "Bye honey," she calls back. I walk in and see (Y/N) taking out a binder and pencil from her backpack. She looks up and grins, "Hi." "Hi," I grin back, sitting down next to her and taking out my own homework. "So, how do I do this?" She laughs and leans closer to me, putting the book on my lap. "So, to figure out how to find the average amount of students getting As-" I wrap an arm around her waist, "You do what?" I ask, grinning down at her. "-you use this formula," she says, giving me a look and continues showing me how to do the homework.

***
It was after 8:30 by the time both of us finish our homework. I took a little longer since (Y/N) had to reteach me a few things. We put our homework away and I close the textbook. "I'm tired," she says, leaning against my shoulder. I smile and pull her into my lap, wrapping my arms around her. She giggles and looks up at me. "Are you tired?" She asks me. "No," I smile down at her. "Well then," she says, causing us to laugh. My mom reappears out of nowhere and heads to the stairs. "Oh... Hi Mom." She looks over at us, laughing, "Hi." This is awkward. "I'm going to my room, you two behave," she laughs again, going upstairs. "Goodnight Mom," I call upstairs. "Goodnight Liam. Goodnight (Y/N)," she answers from her room. "Goodnight," (Y/N) answers. This has been an interesting night.
