Your POV
Sitting down across from Liam again gifted us for more silence. He lifts up his head from the table as I settle back onto the seat. "Were you resting?" I ask him. "What?" "Your head was down on the table, I wasn't sure if you were sleeping or whatever." "Oh, no, I was just... Yeah, I was resting my head," he answers, glancing from me to his cup. "Liam, we need to talk." His eyes reach mine, and I notice a questioning in them. He was probably wondering why I was the one asking the questions, and he was now the speechless one. To be honest, I was wondering too.

"About what?" His eyes didn't lose that worry. "About us." I could see him swallow hard, giving me the idea I had made him nervous. "What about us?" "I think you have an idea." "Dammit, (Y/N), you already said that. I'm trying to figure out what I did and you won't give me even a single hint!" "First off, don't raise your voice, we're in a restaurant and just don't do that. Second, if you'll actually listen, I'll give you that hint," I say, having a certain authority mixed into my voice. It must have worked because Liam sat up straight and looked right at me. "Okay," he says, his voice back to appropriate level.

"When you said I knew Ruth much better than you, as in likes and dislikes, that made me start questioning things. First, hear me out," I begin, seeing him open his mouth, then shut it. "That made me feel special, you know, but just how that conversation in the car ended wasn't right. I'm not saying your sisters aren't pushing my nice personality just a little, but they do have a point. We have this connection, and I know that sounds right, but I think anyone around us knows there's something going on. We're the only ones who aren't fully seeing it, and changing the stage this is at. I know I may just be rambling on and on, but my parents are questioning me all of the time, and I know your parents treat me as if I'm part of the family. Now that your sisters are texting me almost every day about you, or us, it's just coming to a stage in our lives where we have to change things," I look back at him and make direct eye contact. That's when I start making random thoughts.

Did I say too much? Did I go too far? Was he not even going to do something? Did he even care? What was going to happen after this? I thought the worst as silence fell upon us. It was an awkward silence and I found myself playing with my nails. I hear a noise that sounds like someone clearing their throat and look at Liam. He was already watching me and gives me a small grin. "Wow," he lets out a deep breath. "I'm sorry, did I say too-" "No, you didn't say too much. It's my fault I've let this gone on too long. You're right, we, I need to change things."

After we leave the restaurant, another silence falls upon us. Liam opens the passenger door for me and I get in. Once he gets in on the driver's side and starts the engine, he turns to look at me.

"I know the conversation ended ten minutes ago, but I don't think it's actually finished," he says, turning on the radio. "What do you mean?" "I mean, that by 'changing things', I want to move to the next step." "The next step?" I knew exactly what he meant, but I also had my usual doubt. "Yeah," he says, looking back at me from the ground, "I want to ask you to be my girlfriend, but..." But... Shit... What was wrong? Did I seriously do something to mess this up?

"But...," he continues, "I don't want to ask you like this, in my car, and us just leaving a restaurant. I want it be be planned and special." "Liam, you don't have to make it special-" "No, I want to." His eyes sparkle as they bore into mine. They continue to sparkle as he smiles at me, leaning closer. I start to lean in closer too and our lips touch. It is only a brief kiss, but it still causes butterflies. I see his smile form again as he backs out of the parking space and focuses on the main road. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face either. As I stare out of my window, I begin to imagine what his plan on asking me out may be.

AN: I just quickly wrote this, I hope it's decent. I'll be adding in Harry and Andi again soon, so stay tuned. Maybe some drama between them or both couples will arise. What are your thoughts on Liam asking (Y/N) out? What are your ideas on how he'll ask her out?
