2 weeks later.
Your POV

Liam had been sitting with us at lunch for two straight weeks. Harry began to join us within a few days and it was great. The four of us were getting to know everyone and bonding over anything. I would sometimes look around the cafeteria and see people looking, a few girls giving me glares, so I would look back at my food or pretend I didn't notice.

I walk to the usual table but notice a group of girls sitting there. I stop dead in my tracks and hear them laughing. I glance around for the others but don't see them. "What's wrong, honey?" One girl smirks and then laughs again. The others at her table join in. I was about to speak, when an arm snakes around my waist and pulls me around. I look up to know who the owner of that arm is, and sigh of relief when it's Liam.

"Ignore them, we'll just find a new table. I'm sure they did that just to mess with us," he tells me, bringing me to another table across the room. We sit down and I start to unpack my lunch. Liam picks up his slice of pizza and takes a bite. As I open my bottle of Sunny D, I see Andi and Harry heading towards us. "Hey," she says, setting her packed lunch down on the table and sits across from me. "Hi," I reply, just as Harry sits down across from Liam with his tray.

"So, those bitches stole our table again?" Harry asks. "What?" I ask, taking a sip of my drink. "Those girls have done it before. I would say it's because they're jealous, but it's also something against Harry and I," Liam explains. "What happened with you two?" Andi asks, looking at all three of us. "We use to hang out with another group of people a couple years ago, but something happened at a party and we ratted them out," Harry answers. "What happened at the party?" Andi asks him. "We caught a number of our old 'friends' doing some shit and I decided we should tell Marcus' dad. Marcus was the host of the party and use to be one of our best friends, but he changed. We couldn't take it anymore." Andi and I exchange a look and nod. I take another sip of my Sunny D and begin to eat some fruit snacks and my sandwich. Andi starts to eat and remains quiet as the boys discuss their old friends. I stay quiet too, occasionally looking at Liam as he talks with Harry and finishes his lunch.

"(Y/N)!" Liam calls over to me, jogging to my locker as I close it. "Oh hey," I smile, letting him walk in step along side me. "So, Halloween is coming up...," he puts his hands in his pockets and looks at me as he walks. "And...?" "Annnnd... I wanted to ask you what you wanted to do on that day. I know you don't want to go trick-or-treating, and you don't really enjoy parties, but maybe we could do something, just you and I," he tells me and shrugs." I smile at his offer and nod, "Okay, we can do that." His eyes light up when I say that. "Really?" He smiles.

"Yes, really," I laugh and smile back. "So, what I had in mind was get a large stash of candy and then just watch movies all night. Do you like that or have any ideas?" "No, that sounds good. What type of movies would you want to watch? Just Halloween or a variety?" "I think a variety would be good," he says as we reach my sixth hour. "Okay, I'll see you after class," I give him a hug and head to the door.

After school.
The bell rings and everyone files out into the hall. I take my time to pack up and check my phone. I had three texts:

Liam ;): so, I may or may not have plans set for us tonight.

Liam ;): okay, that sounded creepy. Wait, does it?

Liam ;): nah, I don't think it does.

I laugh at the messages and put my phone in my back pocket, sliding my backpack onto my back and head out in the hall. Liam finds me at my locker and holds it open, leaning against it. "So, my texts kind of failed..," he trails off, laughing to himself. I laugh too and put a textbook back. "Dork," I laugh again and look up at him, seeing he was busy staring at a picture on the locker door. "I still really like this one," he tells me, grinning at a picture of us from last week, when we went to an apple orchard. I remember last weekend like it was yesterday.

Flashback:
"So, this boy is taking you to an apple orchard?" My dad asks as I slip on my boots. "Yes Dad, that's what he's doing," I laugh and adjust my jeans. "Is it the one your aunt took to you years ago with your mom and cousin or Robinette's (orchard ten minutes away from my house)?" "Actually, it's that one you and I went to with some others," I say, checking my phone. "Ohhh, okay." "Dad, stop it," I roll my eyes and laugh again. "You're acting like this is a date." "It is a date!" "Well, we've hung out a lot lately and not once did I think it was a date." "That isn't right then, because last I recall, you two went out for dinner and a movie the day after the game." "We didn't call it a date," I say, raising my eyebrows. "Maybe you didn't, but maybe he did," my dad says, just as a knock on the door occurs. I roll my eyes and head to the door.

I open the door and see Liam dressed in a red and black plaid t-shirt, black jeans and boots. He had a red fall coat over his shirt and unzipped. "Hello Mr. (Y/L/N)," Liam says, shaking his hand. "Hello Liam. So, I heard you're going to an apple orchard?" I roll my eyes again. "Yes sir," Liam responds, not understanding how many times my dad had asked that same question. "Okay, have fun," my dad tells us as we walk out the door. "Thanks, we will," I say, getting into the car after Liam opens my door.

Once we're inside, I look at Liam. "So, was last week considered a date to you?" "Maybe, why?" Maybe in a guy's book was a yes. I sigh and lean against the window. "Just my dad being a dad," I say as he turns on the radio and backs out of the driveway. "Ah," Liam replies, pulling out onto the road, "but the real question is, do you think it was a date?" I lift my head off of the window and look at him. "Maybe," I say, this time meaning yes.
*End of flashback*

Looking back at that photo made me smile. It was taken by an employee at the orchard in the middle of our time there. The man had been walking around and had told us that the tree we were near would be a perfect background for a picture. We had laughed but agreed and it turned out to be a great photo. We had other pictures from that day, ones we took, but the one in my locker was my favorite. Liam looks up from it and smiles at me. "Now the question is, do you consider that day a date?" I smile and stare into his eyes, "Maybe."
