Your POV
Liam pulls into a park and stops in a space. "You're taking me to the park?" I ask. "Actually, no," Liam says, getting out and opening my door. I step out and take his extended hand. "So, where are we going?" I question, walking down the sidewalk along side him. He laughs and looks at me. "It's still a surprise." I receive a smile and a squeeze of the hand. We walk in silence for about five minutes. We pass by a variety of businesses and turn right onto the next street."Here we are," Liam breaks the silence. I look around and notice we were now by the lake. "Come on," Liam tells me, giving a small smile. I continue holding his hand and allow him to lead me onto the small bridge over the lake. The night sky was drawing into a darker shade, allowing the stars to appear. I watch in awe and look around at our surroundings. I feel a hand curl around mine, causing me to jump out of my daze. Liam chuckles and pulls me to the center of the tiny bridge. "(Y/N)," Liam says, turning his head towards me. "Yes?" I reply. He looks down at our hands and cracks a shy smile. "I promised you I would one day do this, and I would make it special," he continues, letting go of my hand.
He drops to one knee and pulls out a box. My hand moves to my mouth to cover the gasp. "(Y/F/N) (Y/M/N) (Y/L/N), will you do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend?" He asks, opening the box to reveal a heart shaped necklace (photo included). His eyes lock on mine, waiting for my answer. "Yes! Yes!" I shout, fighting back the tears. Liam stands up too, fighting his own tears. Smiles identical, he takes the necklace out of the box. I turn around and lift up my hair, feeling the chain go around my neck. I grin and turn around, lifting it up and smiling.
"I know it's not much, but I figured I should get you something to make it special." I look up at him and read his eyes. "Hey, you didn't have to get me anything, just becoming your girlfriend was enough," I tell him, pulling him closer by his shirt and crashing his lips on mine. His arms wrap around my waist, closing the distance between us. The kiss continues, deepening. We smile during the kiss, finally pulling away, both gasping for breath. Our gazes lock once again, showing the same thoughts. "So this date wasn't a disaster," he awkwardly chuckles. "No," I laugh, "it certainly was not."
