Your POV
The next Friday.

The double date had gone well last week. Andi and Harry talked and laughed throughout the night and gave Liam and I some peace. Today was yet another Friday, and Liam was taking me out. I didn't know where he was taking me, but I was told to wear something formal. My mind raced with possibilities. I had picked out a black sleeveless dress that fell just above my knees. Once I put on the dress, I put in small diamond earrings and slip into my black heels. My hair was curled and left down. My makeup was a simple mix of eyeshadow and mascara. I grab my small black purse and head downstairs.

My dad steps into the room and looks at me. "Wow, you're dressed up tonight." "Yeah...," I awkwardly laugh, stepping off the stairs. "Where's he taking you?" "I'm not sure, it's a surprise," I say, setting the purse down on top of the couch and lean against it. "Listen, I know I've told you this a million times before, but be careful," my dad says, walking a little closer. "I know, Dad, thank you."

"Just be careful out there, especially because you're wearing a dress and heels in the middle of winter, but you know what I mean." "I know, Dad." "I know that you understand, I just have to say it again." I laugh a little and go around the couch and sit down. "What time is he picking you up?" My dad asks, sitting down in a chair near the couch. "He said 6:30," I say, glancing at my phone, seeing it was 6:05. "What are you going to do as you wait?" "I don't know, probably play on my phone," I answer, going on Pinterest. "Okay, I'll leave you to it," he says, standing up and going to the kitchen to start on my parents' dinner.

Liam's POV
It was already after 6:00, and my anxiety was high. I had waited for this day to finally come, but now that it arrived, my heart rate was speeding. I was dressed in my black suit and just playing with my hair when my dad walks in. "Hey, are you all set?" He asks, walking over to me. I stand up straight in front of my mirror and look at him. "Yeah, just trying to deal with my hair." "It looks fine. Are you nervous?" I stop playing with hair. "Yeah, my heart won't slow down. I am freaking out." "Don't be nervous, you have a plan and it'll all work out. You know she'll love it and say yes." "You think so?" I ask, putting my phone in my pocket. "Yes," my dad smiles. "Now go before you're late." "Oh, right!" I say, checking the time and head downstairs. "Thanks Dad!" "No problem!" He calls after me on my way to the door. I grab my keys and put on my coat, going to my car.

***
It was just about 6:25 when I pull into her driveway. I take a few deep breaths and stop the engine. I open my car door and head up to the front door. I remember walking up to that same door for our first date. I was nervous then too, but tonight I was even more nervous. I knock on the door and wait for it to open. I hear a couple voices behind the door and see (Y/N) open it. "Hey," she smiles, holding the door open. "Hey," I smile back, stepping inside. She closes the door behind me and puts on her coat. I notice her outfit. She looks absolutely beautiful. "Dad, I'm leaving!" She shouts to the kitchen. "Okay, have fun. Be back by-" "11, got it," she laughs and grabs a purse. I smile and open the door. She smiles back and walks out the door.

"You look beautiful," I tell her after we reach the car. "Thanks," she blushes and gets in. I walk over to my side and slip in. "Jesus, it's cold," I say, starting the engine again, automatically turning up the heat. She laughs and plays with the radio. "So, are you going to tell me where you're taking me?" She asks, finding a station and leaning back in her seat. "Nope," I smile, backing out of the driveway. "Well then," she laughs again and puts on a pair of gloves. "You'll see when we get there," I grin, heading down the street.
