Your POV
Today was the last day of school. Junior year had been a mix of heaven and hell. I started out the year with a few friends, a bully, and no boyfriend. By the end of the year I had some more friends, a jealous bitch stalking me, and an amazing boyfriend. I never knew any of this would happen to me. I always dreamed of having Liam as my boyfriend one day, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe it would come true. He is the sweetest, kindest, most caring person I've ever met. He acts more like a best friend than boyfriend sometimes.
Some of his teammates opened up to me and are actually really nice once you get to know them. The others still tend to stick with their own groups and act like assholes. The important thing is that I got respect from some of them, which is perfectly fine with me. Liam wanted all of them to respect me, but what can you do? Not everyone will listen or see the potential in someone.
The other people at school began to stop whispering about us in the halls. There were some small groups who still watched us in shock or glared, but those numbers were low. No one would have expected Liam and I to become friends, let alone become a couple. Liam says he knew we'd end up together someday, that he just knew it. I sometimes question him on how he knew that, but all he does is shake his head, gives me a smile, and says, "I just did."

"Babe, have you seen my phone?" Liam asks me from the kitchen.
"It's right here." I laugh and look at the phone on the coffee table.
"Where?" He walks into the living room and looks around. "Oh," he says when he spots it. "Thanks." He picks it up and smiles.
"No problem," I tell him, smiling back.
He leans in and connect our lips. I kiss him back and feel him smile again.
"We better get going, don't want to be late on the last day."
"No, we don't," I agree, grabbing my bag.
"Let's go then," he says, grabbing my hand and leading us out the door.

Liam's POV
"Have a great summer and be safe," the principal says through the PC, finishing his speech. It goes silent, signaling he was done. The classroom begins to fill up with student voices.
I glance up at the clock and see it was almost 11:00. All the exams were turned in, now it was just time to wait for that final bell. This class had gone by slower than the first since Y/N was allowed to leave after her fifth hour exam. Her last hour didn't have an exam, so she went back to my place and waited to pick me up. Knowing her, she had been here since 10:45, just to get here early.
I take another look at the clock just as the bell rings. The room fills with cheers and goodbye hugs. I quickly stand up and make my way for the door. A few people shout goodbye to me and I send a wave, trying to make it fast. I enter the hall and head to the locker I knew was empty. I turn the combination one last time and open it, taking in the emptiness. After making sure it was for sure empty, I slam the door and walk towards the front doors. Freedom after all.
I step outside and take in the sunny day. There was a light breeze and a few birds chirping. What a good day to be alive. I take a long look around the parking lot and search for my car. I hear a honk and look over to the right. Y/N steps out of the car and leans against the driver's side, crossing her arms. She sends me one of her warm smiles and gestures with her head to come on. I smile and glance around the parking lot before crossing. I reach her a minute later and take her into my arms.
"Hey, you," I say, holding her.
"Hey," she says, smiling again.
"Ready to start this?" I ask her.
"Hell yeah," she cheers, walking around to the passenger side.
I laugh and open the driver's side, throwing my bag into the back. We climb in and I start the engine.
"Any music requests?" she asks, holding her phone.
"You choose," I say, smiling again. I look around and see no one coming, so I pull out of the parking space.
Y/N sets her phone down as "Cool For the Summer" by Demi Lovato begins to play. I glance at her and grin. She sends me a wink and starts singing along to the song. I shake my head and laugh, listening to the beat as I drove. I reach the end of the parking lot and turn right, heading towards the beach.
