As You Lie Awake have come to an end.

I am at peace right now because finally, I got to finish the story that taught me many things. At first, it's just a story with a light plot in mind and though it still is, chapter by chapter, I got to learn and grow so much more than what is planned. I hope even with it's not-so-heavy plot, it did the same to you.

I think this might be a little longer than I usually write story notes but that is because I want to thank this story so, so much. This is my first work that I felt proud writing. Truth be told, I've been through a very lot while writing this one—I even think of quitting. I even thought I wouldn't be able to finish writing this.

Look at me today.

This is also a reflection of the faith I have for the Creator. I don't require you to believe just because of this story. But just a reminder: You do not always have to follow the church. You don't have to serve the church. 'I serve the church' isn't really faith (That's for me). You just have to believe in Him.

This may be a story of clichés but I hope it would leave you something to certainly remember whenever you feel unworthy. Not enough. Or when you hit rock bottom and you're losing yourself.

Like what Ate Idy said, self love isn't selfish.

To my high school best friend, we might not communicate that much but I know the connection between us will live for a lifetime. We have so much to remember. I miss you so much.

To all the readers, I hope Shaira and Gabriel made you smile and even for a moment, made you realize that after all you went through, you have grown so much. That's what matters the most.

I hope we all can see how much we've grown. That way, we can appreciate ourselves better. I hope there is someone out there that treasures the changes in you as they believe it is a sign that you are brave enough to be open for areas to improve. It is a sign that you choose to fight with a considerate mind, killing all the enemies with kindness and forgiveness as a weapon. We can all be strong even without guns. That way, you would look back and think to yourself, I didn't stoop to their level.

You didn't become the person you hated most.

Let's keep on growing, everyone ❤️‍🩹

All love, lianahimmel.
