Sharon Carter

Their cover was blown. Sam had forgotten to silence his phone. This caused his phone to go off in a mid-meeting with Selby. Out of all the people to call him, it was his sister Sarah. Once Selby knew Smiling Tiger was not as he said he was, she ordered her men to kill all of them.

Even then, that did not go to plan. Quickly Katherine had pulled out a gun and shot some of her bodyguards. She did not want this to end in a shoot-out or with bad blood with Selby. However, that did not matter. Selby was shot in the chest by an unknown person.

Katherine was shocked at the events that unfolded. Selby was dead. One of her great partners was gone. Now, most of her assets were in trouble. Sam really fucked this up. Without Selby, it would be hard to find Wilfred Nagel in Mardripoor. Especially if he is working with the Power Broker. They were all fucked in this situation. To make it worse, there was now a bounty on all of their heads.

All of them somehow made it out of the bar. But, once they got out, people were firing at them from all directions. Zemo and Katherine left Sam and Bucky. They all managed to avoid being shot, but they were cornered in an alleyway. To their luck, Sam and Bucky had a guardian angel.

A person had killed the two people that were cornering all of them. Even if it helped them, to Katherine, it was concerning. This unknown person could easily be out to kill them as well.

"Well, this is too perfect." said a woman in the shadows.

All of them stood there waiting for the woman to reveille themselves. Walking up, the woman who saved them was Sharon Carter. Sam and Bucky were quite acquainted with her. Back when the Avengers were fighting, with the help of Zemo and Katherine. Sharon helped Steve. That caused her to be on the run.

"Drop it, you two." said Sharon.

It was directly to Katherine and Zemo, who were holding handguns. Slowly both of them placed the guns on the ground and walked away. Sharon approached them more and kicked the guns away.

"Sharon?" asked Bucky.

"You cost me everything."

It was unsure who she was talking to. Zemo and Katherine caused the rift between the Avengers. Which causes a chain reaction of choosing sides among them. Sharon, for obvious reasons, chose to help Steve. This went against the Sokovia Accords. For Sam and Bucky, they were free. Neither of them had to really worry about prison or being on the run.

"Sharon, wait. Someone recreated the super-soldier serum and Katherine had a lead." said Sam.

"That explanes why you are all here. And why Selby's dead."

"So, what are you doing here?" asked Bucky.

"I stole Steve's shield remember? I also took the wings for your ass.." She pointed at Sam. "So you could save his ass from their asses." Sharon then pointed at Bucky and to Zemo and Katherine. "Unlike you I didn't have the Avengers to back me up, so I'm off the grid in Madripoor."

Hearing Sharon speak about her experience made Katherine realize something. The Avengers are always looking out for themselves. If anything, Sharon proves this. She went out of her way to "do something right." Then, she was left behind because she was not one of the Avengers.

"We need your help, Sharon, please."

Sharon took all of them. She lives in the High Town of Madripoor, which would be a better place for them to hide. To everyone's surprise, Sharon was living a good life. It was clear she had made her way up the ladder in Madripoor. Her wealth was evident.

The way she made her living was by selling actual paintings. The gallery was filled with Monet's, Van Gogh, DaVinci, and others. Katherine was admiring the Starry Night painting. It was one of her favorites.
