Super-Soldier Serum

Zemo and Katherine made their way to an empty room. They were unable to find anyone in the maze that was this place. Both of them found guns; worst-case scenario, they would use them.

"What now?" asked Katherine. Neither of them knew where they were or where they were going. Karli could have left by now, along with the serum.

Zemo said nothing; he was too focused on his surroundings. Putting his finger to his mouth, he signaled to be quiet. Katherine followed. Footsteps could be heard, and they were getting louder by the second. Stepping behind some cover, Katherine hid. While Zemo stood his ground and waited for the person coming toward them.

Coming through the door was Karli. She ran down the stairs and was planning on running. But, who she did not expect to see was Zemo waiting for her around the corner. He was holding the gun out, ready to shoot. Once she was visible to him, he shot her in the stomach.

Karli screamed from the sudden pain. Immediately she turned around to find cover. But, meeting her on the other side was Katherine. When Karli met her line of sight, she shot her twice. One hit her shoulder while the other grazed her side. It was overwhelming for Karli.

Diving over a table, she managed to use it as cover. However, in the process, Karli knocked over a bag with a bunch of files in them. Katherine and Zemo met in the middle; the only thing separating them from Karli was the table. Shooting at Karli again was Zemo; he was not going easy on her.

Katherine looked at the vials on the ground. They were scattered. Tiny little vials filled with a blue liquid in them. Then it clicked, Nagel said he made twenty vials, but Karli had stolen those. These were the missing vials.

"Are those the..." said Katherine.

Hearing Katherine's words, Zemo looked at the ground. Kneeling, he grabbed one. It was weird to hold such a powerful thing in his hands. But, such a powerful thing would become insignificant.

"No, no..." whispered Karli. There was nothing she could do. Risking to get those vials would ensure her death. Doing nothing, however, meant they were lost forever.

Slamming the vile on the ground, it shattered. The blue liquid could be seen dispersing on the floor. Then, one after another, more and more vials were crushed. The super-soldier serum was lost, forever.

As Katherine and Zemo were distracted by the serum. Karli managed to escape them. It did not really matter; their mission was complete. The super-soldier serum was gone, along with the scientist who created it.

Because they were both distracted, none of them saw Walker come in. Launching his shield, it hit Zemo in the face. Knocking him out cold. Katherine gasped from her father hitting the floor. Holding her gun up, she aimed it straight at Walker.

But, for some reason, he was not focused on her. His eyes were on the destroyed vials on the ground. Then, in the corner of his eyes, he saw one vial left untouched. The only one that was left. Katherine did not know what he was looking at, but she did not know what to do. She could not exactly shoot Captain America.

Bending down, he went to grab the vial. Only then did Katherine see what he was grabbing. Her eyes widened from the sight. Fuck. There was one vial she and Zemo missed. Now it was in the hands of John Walker.

Keeping her gun pointed toward him, she spoke, "Don't do this Walker."

His gaze went to her. All she could see was the darkness in his eyes. He wanted to be the best Captain America he could be. For some reason, the serum was his vision of getting there. But Walker was not in a negotiating mood.

"Don't go down this path."

Katherine knew where this would lead him. Just like the rest, corrupted. Ever since she met him, Katherine knew there was a darker side to John. The only thing he needed to push that out further was something like the serum. It brings out one's true nature. For John, it would only bring out his darker side.

Walker was not going to listen to Katherine. Walking toward her, Katherine got defensive and cocked her gun. Grabbing her wrist, he pointed to gun up at the ceiling. By squeezing her wrist, a shot launched out of the gun. Then, he twisted her arm back behind her. Katherine screamed from the pain.

Because of her arms twisting, she dropped the gun. Getting herself out of that position, she was still close to Walker. In an instant, she banged her head against his. From this, he finally let go of her. From her movement, he became disoriented. Katherine decided to kick him down.

However, Walker was quick to put his shield up but still out of it from his head. Then, he went tumbling down to the floor. Now he was pissed. This girl was about to getaway. This girl had managed to defend herself from him.

Katherine wasted no time, Walker was crazy, and she knew it. She started to run away from him. But, what she did not see was the shield coming straight for her legs. When it hit her, she fell to the ground. Then, on top of her was Walker.

His eyes were filled with anger. No one had ever made Katherine fear for her life until now. For a second, she thought she was going to die. He could do it; Walker could kill her. Instead, he punched her in the face, knocking her out.

Sam and Bucky heard a gunshot near them. Instinctively they both followed the sound. Running into a room, they found Walker, Zemo, and Katherine. But the sight was not pretty.

Zemo was on the floor, passed out. There were crushed vials everywhere. Then making their way around the corner, Bucky's eyes widened. He saw Walker on top of an unconscious Katherine. Anger filled him instantly.

Marching over to Walker, he lifted him up by the collar and slammed him into the nearest object. "What the hell did you do?" he yelled. It was clear he was referring to Katherine.

"I didn't do anything," said Walker.

Bucky knew that was straight-up bull shit. Neither Katherine nor Zemo would put up a fight unless they had to. With what Bucky saw, Walker had to have done something.

Leaning in, Bucky spoke in a whisper, "I swear to god Walker..."

"Buck." spoke Sam. He then put his hand on Bucky's shoulder. This was no place to start a scene with Walker.

Knowing he should calm down, Bucky slowly let go of John. Was he happy about it? No. But, he better start talking.

"They were trying to escape, so I stopped them." said John.

Hearing this, Bucky looked over at the unconscious Katherine. Did she really try to escape? Bucky would not put it past her. However, none of this felt right. She would not just leave, especially now. Right?
