It took some time but eventually Lindsey drifted off to sleep, his head on Stevie's shoulder, their fingers entwined in her lap. She couldn't sleep, even though she was exhausted, after all she hadn't slept properly in more than one week and by now it was 4 in the morning.
The plane was covered by a pale light and everyone around them was also fast asleep. Four security guards had joined them and were supposed to look after them as long as it took to get the case to court.
They had been flying for hours already and she was asking herself where the hell they were taking them. Definitely outside of the US, even out of Canada, she thought to herself.
She turned carefully her head and looked at the sleepy man next to her. She smiled as Lindsey's muscles started to tremble slightly. He must be lying uncomfortably.

"Shh, it's okay..", she said softly and pulled him closer, so his head fell down on her lap.

He babbled something she couldn't understand and fell back to sleep. She stared down at him and couldn't stop her hands from running through his gray, curly hair, gently stroking his head. She could feel his warm breath through her thin leggings.
It had been a long time since she had been intimate with anyone and having his head in her lap, feeling him so close to her sensitive area, and his lips on her right thigh only separated from her skin by the thin fabric of her leggings, were arousing her. She knew this was wrong, he was married to a much younger woman with whome he had three beautiful children, and considering all the things that were currently happening around them, she shouldn't even be thinking about him in that kind of way – and still she did.
She leaned back into her seat and closed her eyes, her fingers still caressing his head, and remembered the moment he had kissed her on the bridge. His body pressed against hers, his hand on the back of her head, slightly tangling in her hair, him softly sucking at her lower lip, his warm, wet tongue inside of her mouth... She bit her lip. And then later on in the cap, him nuzzling her neck, telling her in a rough tone he knew how much she liked that.. And then suddenly the pictures of the horror scenario were back in her head in a flash! The sound of the gunshots, the two men falling lifelessly to the ground! She jumped up!

"What's wrong?", he mumbled slightly confused, raised his head up and looked at her.

She had woken him up.

"It's.. it's okay..", she stuttered and gave him a weak smile, "I was just... remembering.."

He understood immediately what she meant and pulled her into his strong arms.

"I'm here.."

"I know."

"I'm not going to leave you..", he soothed her.

And he had no idea how much these words meant to her...

Four more hours later, the plane stalled finally and they landed at a small private airport in the middle of nowhere. Stevie and Lindsey got escalated to a black jeep by two security guards and drove for another hour through a barely settled region.

"Will you please tell us now, where we are?!", Lindsey asked, feeling uncomfortable by not knowing what was happening around him.

"Yes, we will. But at first, both of you have to hand me your mobile phones.", said the female security guard named Jess.

"Excuse me?", Lindsey couldn't believe his ears.

"I'm sorry but it is neccessary. Your phones could get located and we have to make sure you're not able to secretly call your family and friends."

Stevie and Lindsey looked at each other, him slightly panicked.

"Is that really neccessary?", Lindsey asked again, "I have lots of photos on my phone. I need them.."
